  1. Actually with the zoom meetings they do know what ours look like as they disabled the backgrounds some how. Also we were sent home with desktop computer not laptops. And yes we get hacked while on public wifi, we lose our jobs.
  2. Also make sure your company would allow it. My company says work from home means work from home. Not on a cruise, at an all inclusive or even a local camp ground
  3. When we were there in January the rule was according to the resort we were at that outside of the resort unless you were exercising you had to wear a mask. At the resort it was up to you. So when we would go into town, we had them but if we were walking we pulled it down. If we took a cab or went into a store or restaurant we wore it unless eating or drinking.
  4. But again of they bring you the water I've never heard of them asking to see it.
  5. I was just about to ask this same question. How did they know she didn't have it???
  6. I agree. By the time I pay for a carryon it's cheaper to fly a major airline and I'm not restricted on what days I can fly
  7. It was open when we were there in January just limited hours. The Thirsty Cougar was definitely open
  8. We still have our tickets printed at the airline counter. We know ahead of time know where are going and print maps for the inlaws. The inlaws are in there 70s and will not get a smartphone. They would have no clue how to use itDH leaves his phone at home while we are on vacation and mine is in my purse turned off and only turned on in an emergency. So yes we are those people who do not use our phones on vacation and there are people who will not have a smart phone.
  9. The point was first I agree subjecting children to a vaccine this new is not something I would do nor would I ever put a child in a drug trial. I agree there is no data the vaccine prevents Covid19 but there are a lot of people who think it does.
  10. I agree. Children don't need to be subjected to an unproven vaccine. I know a family that put their children into the Pfizer trails. After the trial they were told if the children received the vaccine or not during the trial. One did one didn't. The one who did has covid now. Proves to me the vaccine doesn't necessarily prevent anything. And the drug companies can't be held liable for issues arising later from taking the vaccine.
  11. So my sister and her husband both work in the health care industry. They both had Covid19 twice. They both say there are too many of my questions that can't be answered, therefore they don't feel comfortable tell my parents or us to get the vaccine. The chance of dying from Covid19 is 1%. We flew to Cozumel in January with our doctor saying as long as we took the normal precautions we were fine to travel. We both have autoimmune issues. The doctor said they were comfortable with us using our own discretion about if we wanted the vaccine or not. At this point there is not enough evidence of long term effects or how often it needs to be given (like the flu shot once a year)for us to get a vaccine that has only been approved for emergency use. I'm not saying we won't get it at some point but for now we are opting out. When we were in Cozumel in January, we felt more comfortable with the protocols they had in place than the ones in the US. And before any one says we are antivaxxers, you couldn't be further from the truth.
  12. Then try the onion rings. Soooo good.
  13. I saw that on Airbnb! If you haven't already been you need to go to the Thirsty Cougar. The Jalapeno poppers are amazing
  14. And how would you know if it was a vaccinated or unvaccinated person that got sick? You can still get the virus if you are vaccinated. I know someone who was fully vaccinated in the first round of people who could be vaccinated and is in the hospital with Covid now.
  15. We do for certain things. The little town we live in you have to pay the water bill by check. Can't do it online
  16. And medical records are protected by HIPPA at least in the US. All I'm saying is someone will figure out away around the vaccine requirements. There are always those few.
  17. Proof of vaccinations can and will be faked. So how do you truly enforce the get vaccinated or don't sail?
  18. We flew into Cozumel in January and spent 3 weeks. The island is very quiet and we were told several places were given to shut down again due to the lack of tourist. I would say just go with the flow and go where you can that might be open. A lot of places on the main drag downtown were closed. We spent a lot of time at the Thirsty Cougar.
  19. We flew in to Cozumel in January. United airlines on the way there and American on the way home
  20. Wow. We are able to travel and are wearing masks and social distancing. The US is noting ANY death ad covid related. We have known people who have died of cancer, heart issues and auto accidents and all the death certificates read the cause of death is covid. If I feel travel is safe I'm not going to hide at home. If it's my it's my time, its my time. My doctor said its safer in Cozumel than in the states thank you very much
  21. I'm just reporting what the locals here are saying. Trustme they want tourism to be what it once was. The island is hurting economically. Also at times, I have found more reliable information out from locals than news media or information put out by the government
  22. We flew into Cozumel on January 4th and leave on the 23rd. It is very strange to see no cruise ships here. There are maybe 25% of the normal tourist population. Our hotel is maybe at 15% capacity. Some are still closed or will be closing again. The cab drivers are getting very fares. Most averaging 1 or 2 a day. Speaking with workers at several locations and management at the hotel, they feel strongly based on the current conditions in the world cruising will not restart here until November at the earliest but more like 2022. One bit of good news, we are told there currently are no cases of Covid19 on the island

  24. Got mine today! Just a few days over 8 weeks from when the cashed the check. 2 weeks longer than it took for my boyfriend's renewal last year. Not bad considering the circumstances
  25. You do have a point. Guess I just thinking 2020 is out to get us. 😅
