  1. You need to manage your flights on the Princess site, not on the phone. EZ air is a consolidator. Just because seats show as available on the airline site does not mean they have been released to EZ air. I have had luck and no luck on changing flights.
  2. Are the prices listed above per person or per couple per night?
  3. This is only my opinion so take it for what it is worth. When we sailed around south america the internet degraded seriously once we passed the area near the Amazon and did not return to half decent service until we reached the west coast of Costa Rica or so. I don't think you will have a lot of success with Zoom classes.
  4. I have never laughed so hard. One contestant used his wife's bra and underpants to cradle the egg. The egg did not break but her scream was so loud. He may still be in the dog house.
  5. We were on Sky Princess for 2 weeks in June/July this year and felt the bed was fine. We both said we slept well. I like a firm mattress but I imagine that might not be the preferred mattress if you like a softer one.
  6. Who booked the cruise? Direct with Princess, through a TA or CVP? Do you have your booking number? If you have the booking number go onto the Princess website and sign in using your name, birthdate, and booking number. This should tell you the type of fare that was booked for you. Perhaps the person treating you to the cruise also paid for the plus package at the time of booking. On a separate topic have you ordered your medallion?
  7. We trade the mini bar for ginger ale and orange soda.
  8. No one ever mentions the 2nd Love Boat series with Robert Urich as the captain. I liked that show as well, not the latest.
  9. It depends upon the appliance you want to use. If you have a dual voltage appliance you only need an adapter. If single voltage, you need both an adapter and a converter.
  10. I used a travel scoot scooter for many years. It was collapsible and light weight. However, once stepping over the middle of the scooter became increasing difficult I knew I had to have a different device. I still wanted it to be collapsible and light weight with batteries that were OK for air travel. I am very happy with my fold-and-go wheelchair. There are others on the market but this one has done very well by me.
  11. Be sure to check cruises from Australia as well. We did 50 days from Sydney to San Francisco by way of China and Alaska. It was part of a 75 day "Circle the Pacific" cruise, where we did the first couple of segments. We enjoyed Borneo very much. Also we have been to Patmos as well as Israel and Egypt on a Princess cruise but you have to look hard for those as they don't schedule them every year. We also did a 49 day FLL to LAX by going around South America. We loved that one as well. You might enjoy a world cruise.
  12. Specifically, you will go to a designated area (usually not the same area as those with "loyalty status" nor those with Princess excursions). When you get there you will be given an identifier (number, animal, color, etc.). When your identifier is called you will follow an escort to the water shuttle boarding area. It has been years - late 1990's at least - since we were in a scrum to get off at a port. You will wait as the shuttle is slowly filled.
  13. You can get off before the final port. BUT, you need to get approval from Princess so they can work with the port where you wish to leave the ship to set up disembark procedures.
  14. The only problem I see is if your wife becomes ill. I had to pay in full when I was diagnosed with pneumonia (pre-covid) and dehydration. I required IV fluids and antibiotics as well as oxygen. I was lucky to not be debarked for hospitalization (which would have been an additional cost). The cost for all these services was required before I could leave the ship at the end of the cruise. We had insurance so in the end was completely reimbursed. However, I was so glad I had a credit card with a generous limit. Gift cards would not have covered my costs.
  15. If you want to book a future cruise or put down a deposit for a cruise at a later date, it can't be used for that.
  16. I like cities that have hosted the paralympics recently. London for example was greatly improved from our visits prior to the competition.
  17. I was on a B2B cruise and watched one of the mobility rental companies come on board and after the steward removed one of the twin beds from the cabin the rental company then brought in a recliner. I found this interesting and noted that one of the people in that cabin was using oxygen. This was a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale.
  18. No, but if you are less than 60 days from when you originally booked the cruise, you can transfer the booking to the agent. If over 60 days that option closes.
  19. Since you are female, I suggest a visit to the Women in Military Service to America Monument located near the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery. I earned few medals during my time in the Air Force Nurse Corp but if I saw you wearing your medals I would feel privileged to speak with you about your service.
  20. You need to set up a group no matter what line you choose. On Princess, for every 8 cabins you book (at least pre-covid) you get one "free" berth. You can claim this for yourself or let the savings be given to a reduction of the fare for everyone. If you will be arranging for more than 8 cabins I would definitely recommend you work with a travel agent. The agent has the option of showing you how to redeem the points you get for booking a group of cabins. Also, I would not want to be responsible of being in charge.
  21. Our world cruise was cancelled due to Covid. However, we had the air included. We chose the flights we wanted through EZ-Air. We had planned to fly in a day early since the sailing was in early January of 2022.
  22. I don't drink alcohol and do get the plus package. The Wi-Fi and tips make the package attractive to me. I also get coffee, water, mocktails, and the occasional soda. I think I break even or perhaps come out a little bit ahead.
  23. I enjoy the food, both in the dining room and the specialty rooms as well as the buffet. I don't know what you have been reading but that has not been my experience.
