  1. We are at 75 days out for our Symphony in January and still no entertainment yet. Looking forward to booking ๐Ÿ™‚
  2. @dahudson We ended up cancelling the Edge cruise to go on the Harmony. Hope you find someone who did cruise in that cabin. Happy crusin
  3. No shows yet for the Symphony Jan 11th 2020 yet. We are at 89 days prior to the cruise today
  4. Thanks ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Saved $216 CDN on our Odyssey cruise Jan2021
  5. Definitely agree with vanman- 45 minutes The roadwork is amazing and a labyrinth even for the locals. Uber is an option other than taxis. You can hire a limo which is another option.
  6. Pretty proud of Wendy as she is from my birthplaceโ˜บ๏ธ. Grew up in Sept-iles (seven islands....there are really 7 islands in the bay of the St Lawrence). Only wish we could cruise with Virgin but the prices are too steep for our budget.
  7. Definitely the 12:10 PM flight out of Miami if the cost difference is minimal. We will be on the Symphony next Jan and we plan to take the 11:50 flight out of Miami. Not worth the trouble of getting to FLL as the cost at this time is $9 per person more to fly out of Miami.
  8. This is on the Freedom class and the Explorer class of ships. Some of the balcony afts cabins are initially available for 3 passengers. For example: 1388, 1688, 1390 and 1690 on the Explorer.
  9. We love the aft cabins and so that is our 1st choice however this is getting difficult as they require minimum 3 passengers. I do keep an eye out as sometimes they do open them up to 2 passengers. Our 2nd choice is hump cabins. We also prefer higher decks.
  10. I am looking forward to the Odyssey and I am rather anxious to book our 2021 cruise. Any idea when Royal plans to open the reservations?
  11. We were in the same situation 2 weeks ago. We had booked the Independence for 5 days prior to our Symphony cruise and learnt the IOS had been chartered. They gave us 3 options: 1) Other dates for the same ship at the same rate we booked . OBC of $200 for a suite, $ 100 for a balcony.. 2) Book another cruise at the ongoing rate and get the OBC offer or 3) Cancel and get our non-refundable deposit back. We went for option 2 which now requires a night in between cruises. This a 1st for us however at least we knew far enough in advance to make other plans.
  12. We changed for the Explorer of the Seas leaving Jan 5th out of Miami (Nassau and Labadee). It worked best for us. It is odd that we got offered Jan 2 via email on Weds and by Sat, it was full ๐Ÿค”. It would have been pretty hard for get the same category at the same price if date had worked for us. Reserving the new cruise was not made easy yesterday as part of my OBC came from a reward from MyVegas. Once our cruise was reserved, I had to take care of moving my OBC. 2 calls later it was done. The happy part is now waiting for our cruise ๐Ÿ™‚
  13. Looking to book the Explorer for Jan 5th 2020 as our Independence cruise of Jan 6th got chartered. The balcony size is important for me as I am often on the balcony unlike my husband. At this time, I see 2 potential cabins : 9310 and 8318 Is one bigger than the other ? or will they be the same? Thanks
  14. Unfortunately, the proposed dates do not work for us so we are looking at booking another ship instead to keep the OBC being offered. I am just glad we got more than enough time to rebook or rethink our plans.
