I’ve been waiting for this blog to show up! Thanks. I was over on the HAL boards for quite awhile so I haven’t read one of your blogs in recent years. The little mermaid is all grown up! I can’t believe it. We sail on MASI later this month.

Fabulous idea. Our last cruise was on HAL’s Zuiderdam. The promenade deck was very popular for walking and sitting on the steamer chairs.

My reservation has just first and last, but when you add in your travel documents information you put your passport full name. So when I click on that it is correct. So that will match with your physical passport when you check in. Have you gone on Cruise Control and added in that info yet? I just looked at my last HAL cruise invoice. It just had first/last on it.

Perhaps the sheets and towels have. Polyester blend. Those will yellow with bleach

@mitsugirly It was on a social media group that I can’t link to per CC rules. Some on the post said that they did have different cabins. The room steward moved the bags for them to the new cabin. No one mentioned if they worked that out ahead or asked at guest services once onboard. It sounded like the ship is used to it though, and it’s not a rare occurrence. There is a nice aquarium right near the cruise, if you wanted to do something off ship that day, or the Riverwalk is really nice too, just to stretch your legs.

This shows the Progreso excursion. Im doing the 5 in 1 Tour with sergiostours.com in May. They have an AI beach day tour as well to their beach house. It looks small. They pick up at the ship too. I’ll report back after we go in May. Too late for you but maybe it will help others.

If you log in to Cruise Control on MAS website you can check for upgrades. I just went from an OV to a Premuim Extended Balcony for $100 pp. (This level of cabin includes the Islander MDR and two loungers on the balcony yay) They assign the cabin. It was even less for regular balconies. I’m sure the costs are dynamic, so I could’ve played the game and waited to see if it went down. We were just past final payment when we upgraded.

I I read somewhere else that for a b2b you meet at the desk around 8:45 and the escort you off the ship and through immigration and then right back on.

I found the submarine tour quite interesting. The aquarium and Titanic part of the museum were ok. I did enjoy the farmers market although it was smaller than I expected. We walked around town and had cider and some pastries. I overheard a couple in the MDR that night say that they had done some research and had made reservations at a Michelin star restaurant for lunch that day and it was amazing.

I’m back and yes I needed Euros. I bought cheese and flowers.

We were fine all day with credit cards. Amazing Waffle: Laurence Take Away, Walstraat 4, 8000 Brugge, Belgium This was the most amazing thing I ate on the whole 18 day trip!

We stayed there last month. It was fine for one night. I would say it was about 95% as good as a normal Hampton Inn. There is an outside cruise shuttle company that stops there. I would stay there again. Convenient to the port. This is not the area where you can walk around and have a lot of restaurants and scenic activities.

I had success with using this route. Emailed on Thursday. Response on Tuesday. I had the Elite Beverage Package. I had made a number of additional tips on the cruise. While onboard it showed as tips. Once on land and looking at my final statement it showed as if I had gone over the SBP price and was being charged the difference. I asked they give me the money back if they couldn’t readjust it back to tips. So they offered me a refund of $6.50 ( correct amount) or I could take an OBC for of $20 if I preferred.
