  1. We are booked on the 9th October departure out of Southampton, originally 11 nights Canary Islands, today changed by RCI to 6 nights British Isles. We have no interest in this revised itinerary having done 2 UK cruises already this summer and do not wish to visit the same ports yet again. Unfortunately, there is no option to Lift & Shift to next year so it looks like we’ll be cancelling and rebooking for October 2022 (and losing the DP that was included from our original booking made in early 2019 😥). My question is regarding the FCC we used to pay the majority of the final balance. This was a 125% FCC from a cancellation by Royal in April 2020 and the email I received at the time stated that it expired at the end of April 2022. Was the expiration extended on these early FCC’s making it possible to use towards the new booking? TIA
  2. Received the email this morning from RCI changing the 11 night Canary Islands sailing on 9th October to a 6 night British Isles cruise! Very disappointed there is no option to Lift & Shift to next year. We have already done two UK cruises this summer and don’t really want to do another. Plus the cruise is now almost half the length of the original. I’ve got a drinks package that was included in the price when I booked back in January 2019 which I’ll lose if I get a refund and rebook for next year. This is all so frustrating ☹️
  3. This cruise is now around the British Isles, emails were sent out by RCI this morning.
  4. Got a long way to go to reach 340 points, we’re only at just over 200 unfortunately.
  5. My husband is a terrible snorer and we sleep in separate bedrooms at home because of it (the alternative was to live apart but I thought that was a bit extreme 😂). I’ve often thought about booking a 2 bedroom suite when we cruise, just a pity they’re so expensive🤑
  6. Many thanks for this and also your original post. Really interesting and reassuring to know how well Royal handled matters. Very best wishes to you and your family.
  7. Mine had not been added either, from 21st June cruise nor 3rd July
  8. Me too! Don’t even bother trying now, I just get a horrible one taken at check-in lol
  9. Hi Suzanne, hope you’re enjoying yourself (again lol). Is it noticeably busier than when we were on? I’m surprised the buffet has gone back to self service, I’d have thought it would have been safer to have continued with being served by the crew 🤷‍♀️.
  10. Oh me too. It doesn’t matter how many times I stand and watch, I just can’t understand it! 🙈
  11. I can’t find any on Amazon UK now but here’s a link to some I’ve just seen on eBay. Bit more expensive than what I paid though. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264270373324?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200818143230%26meid%3D9438a27cca6e4ba086c5d842c7272a12%26pid%3D101224%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D174096426348%26itm%3D264270373324%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DDefaultOrganic&_trksid=p2047675.c101224.m-1
  12. Yeah, clear plastic ones Suzanne with a metal ring fastener to secure to the handle on your suitcase. I used to laminate and hole punch my paper tickets before I realised it was so much easier using the holders! Do you remember the days when cruise lines provided plastic coated tickets similar to what airlines use? They posted them to you along with your cruise booklet containing all the documentation you needed. Loved getting all that lol.
  13. I’ve just checked, unfortunately the ones I purchased in May are currently unavailable. They were clear plastic and 3.4” wide. Make sure any you get are at least that width.
  14. They were too wide for the holders I use for RCI cruises, their tickets are long and narrow. I purchased new holders advertised to fit MSC tickets from Amazon, 4 for £2.99.
