  1. On the Getaway this past July, they would not let me bring a guest on the BTS tour.
  2. Per the NCL deck plans, it is an accessible room that will accommodate 3 people. I believe that the room has wider doors and aisles that will allow wheelchair access plus bathroom fixtures designed for handicapped individuals. IF you are not handicapped and you want to reserve it, I'd suggest that you contact NCL directly to find out their rules regarding the booking of accessible rooms.
  3. Suggest that you also have proper documentation from the mother giving you permission to authorize medical treatment for the child if necessary along with copies of applicable medical insurance cards.
  4. We had a great experience on the Getaway the last week of July as well. Martina was the concierge for that cruise.
  5. Same offering in Cagney's Surf and Turf being filet and lobster on the Getaway out of Copenhagen the last week of July. The week before the surf part was shrimp on the Epic out of Barcelona.
  6. Lesson learned when boarding the Getaway in Copenhagen this past July...assume same could be applied to Encore. Oceankaj pier was set up with two different terminals for the larger ships....one terminal for the odd numbered decks at the stern; the other terminal for the even numbered decks at the aft . Of course, we were dropped at the wrong one resulting in some delay in boarding. There might have been signage indicating such but our focus was on the ship as was our driver's.
  7. You can buy them onboard...from what I recall $8 and up dependent on the "style"
  8. It was offered on both of our July Epic and Getaway cruises. From what I recall, it was offered on the 3rd or 4th day. We used it on both cruises and were completely satisfied with the results and the price.
  9. Yes for the Getaway as well and as it should be.
  10. Never any issues with NCL laundry. Laundry bags hold a lot of items....crammed and I do mean crammed nearly 100 items into one of those on $19.99 laundry day special without issue. I always take a 3 oz bottle filled with liquid Woolite for in room uses.
  11. Did the same cruise in July.....Dollars and a few Euros. Credit cards can be used for even the smallest purchases.
  12. How much time should I allocate to get to the airport and thru airport security, etc. when returning to USA staying in the OSJ area?
  13. On the Getaway the last week of July, in Ocean Blue you could order either a whole 1 1/2 lb lobster or 2 lobster tails as an entree. On the same cruise in Cagneys, the Surf and Turf came with a 6 oz lobster tail. The week prior however, Cagneys Surf and Turf came with shrimp.
  14. Just returned from a Western Med cruise on the Epic. I don't recall the exact time that the Haven Restaurant opened for breakfast but fairly certain it was adjusted based on ship arrival time in the various ports. That being said, the restaurant can and does become very busy resulting in what can quickly become a lengthy event. If you are wanting to order off of the menu, expect to spend some time there not to mention having to get up earlier to do so. It does offer a buffet consisting of cold cereal, fruits, breads, yogurt, meats, cheeses, etc. if that appeals to you. Obviously, the buffet is a much quicker option. All of our excursions began early so we had a room service meal for our stops in Naples, Rome and Florence. Less intensive days like the sea day, Cannes and Palma gave us the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the restaurant.
  15. It was for our July 22 embarkation out of Copenhagen on the Getaway. As stated in other posts, very few people in the restaurant at any time or day with IMO nothing special about the food offerings. Definitely would not pay to return. We did however enjoy the nacho appetizer with a few margaritas.
  16. On July 22 Getaway cruise out of Copenhagen, a whole 1 1/2 lb lobster in Ocean Blue and 6 oz lobster tail as part of surf and turf in both Cagneys and OB were available. Used UDP for both restaurants. On Epic the week prior, surf and turf in Cagneys only came with shrimp.
  17. Done this same cruise twice before and will be doing it again the week prior to your cruise. From the recent dailies that have been posted, appears that the mandatory muster is at 430p. If you miss it, you will have to make it up. I would not want to arrive at the pier any later than 3 or 330p at the latest. Don't know where your hotel is in relationship to the pier and how you plan to handle your luggage. You could leave it at the hotel...do your exploring...return to pick it up and taxi over to the pier. Or go ahead drop off your luggage at the pier around 930a or 10a then venture back out for a few hours. You could also go ahead and get checked in at the same time. Both of these last two are going to eat up your limited time however. In 2018, our hotel was just off Las Ramblas and not very far from the pier. We left our hotel at 10a thinking that we'll be there easily by 1030a at the latest. Wrong! Everyone else that was sailing that day must have had the same idea. Traffic was either at a crawl or complete standstill most of the way. If I were you, I'd consider a Hop On Hop Off bus tour as early Sunday morning as possible. You'll find reviews of the two different companies that offer them on TripAdvisor. It's relatively inexpensive. Most of the buses depart from the Playa Catalunya area but you can also join from one of their many stops. There are three different routes that you can take which will provide you the opportunity to see a considerable amount of the city in a short period of time. You won't have time to get off an explore but you will see a lot. Additionally, I'd focus to the two routes that have the most to offer.
  18. There are two types of tickets that I could purchase online when there in Sept 2018. One was date/time specific; the other was only date specific. My tour company actually made mention of long lines and suggested that entry might not be a good choice. I mistakedly purchased the latter as I was not certain as to what time we would arrive on our tour. Huge mistake as we spent a good 45 minutes standing in line to get our actual tickets then another line for security. By the time that we actually entered, we had to basically run in, take a couple of quick photos and try to find our way out. WARNING: IF you need to use the toilets (we could only find one set), tack on another line and associated wait. We were late getting back to our tour group of eight (none of the others went inside) which was not fair to them. Let your tour company buy the tickets as they know what to buy and for what time.
  19. Thank you for posting the "Meet Your Officers" photo. I can't enlarge it to the point that I can read the names however.
  20. Listing of officers and concierge please. Thank you.
  21. Listing of officers and concierge please....
  22. NCL discontinued the Chef's Dinner a few years ago. Is this something new as I had not heard of it?
  23. No private Haven bar or restaurant on the Pearl. They have 4-5 tables in the Haven that you can order breakfast/lunch from the courtyard attendant during specified hours or you can go to Moderno which is one floor down from the Haven. The "worth" is probably an individual decision with the itinerary being a key factor. My family did the Alaskan cruise on her three different times in the Haven and thoroughly enjoyed it each time.
  24. Haven't been on the Getaway yet but based on experiences on the Pearl and Epic, the Mojito Bar is only the name of a full bar that "specializes" in mojitos. You can get just about any adult beverage there to include vodka mojitos.
  25. Thank you for all of the photos as we all appreciate seeing them!!!
