I am on the March 4th cruise

We always cruise during hurricane season or the end of April before school lets out for the summer. Well we received a Premeir Casino offer sailing out of Fort Lauderdale March 4th on the Carnival Conquest. Decided to book it. Then went to book a hotel room for the night before and a night after the cruise. OMG! Super high rates. Then realized it was Spring Break. Luckily we managed to secure a room at a decent rate, but I will never book a cruise out of Florida during the month of March till the last week in April again. Sort of thought I was safe since it was so early in March. Wrong!

Wonder when in 2017 I sail in March 2017

Be sure to use insect repellant with Deet to keep you from the Zika virus. If you NOT pregnant it will make you feel like you have the flu for about a week. If your pregnant talk to your Dr. before traveling to the Caribbean.

I use a scooter, take my meds, get rest and take a personal massager that I use at night to help my feet and leg pain.

We always park at the port. It may cost a little more but on our last cruise we were in the car and on the road at 815. No waiting on a shuttle. We always stay in a hotel that has the 40% coupon.

I will also be there from 1 till 10. I would like to do a tour of the island and some shopping. Does any body know of a good tour company that has a good tour BUT will get us back in time for some shopping also. Please give me the tour company website if you can thanks.

I think you were being very nice by referring to the people that went on the cruise with you as friends. That's not how friends treat friends. Get you some new friends those people took advantage of you. So sorry for you wheelchair problems hope you got it fixed. ((( HUGS))):eek:

did it feel you were far away from everything being on deck five aft? how is the balconey? does it get too hot to sit out there? do you feel any motion? Any vibrations?

you are not far from everything its a great location. the balcony is great the first night I went to sleep out on the balcony and slept for a couple of hours. It is hot during the day good for sunbathing but don't stay hot long you will be able to enjoy your balcony. We were on a very wind cruise so yes we did feel some motion BUT no more than any other part of the ship (so no). I didn't feel any vibrations unless we were docking or leaving port then you felt a little vibration but not anything major. You have a great room enjoy :)

I was just on the Sunshine deck 5 aft cabin (5346) you are so far away from the casino there is NOT a problem with smoke or any sounds. They are great rooms.

I was on sunshine deck 5 aft (5346) it was a nice balcony and loved it didn't hear any noise. My first aft cruise and would do it again in the same cabin. hope this helps you
