  1. If a certain threshold level of covid-19 is detected onboard the ship during your voyage, the voyage will end immediately, the ship will return to the port of embarkation.

    This is from Lisa Lutoff-Perlo
    President & CEO, Celebrity Cruises

Don't you think it's up to the captain to turn the ship back to port for the safety of vaccinated cruisers on board? I feel very sorry for those who come from all over the world to deal with this issue. It's just a 30 min. drive south for us; and I'm certain that RCL will compensate; but the audacity of those unwilling to vaccinate.

    NO SHOT ----   NO SHIP !    🛳️   🌴

Are you really saying getting COVID is no big deal or in any way similar to norovirus?  This is a perfect example of why I would prefer a 100% vaccinated cruise.    There is a question of trusting those around you if there are unvaccinated people onboard.  I wouldn't mind if I knew the unvaccinated people were based in reality and respected the rights of the people around them, but that is not going to happen.

    MrMarc,
My husband read that Royal Caribbean (parent company of Celebrity) said that if anyone on board the ship is found to be Covid infected, that the ship will return to port of origin. He doesn't remember where he saw it; I'm trying to research that now and will post here.
Now unvaccinated people -------- Is that fair to the 95% of cruisers who have been vaccinated?
    NO SHOT -  NO SHIP !  🛳️

XXXXXXXXXXX has received a very important notification regarding your upcoming cruise.

    The notification is copied below:

    "Dear Guest,

We look forward to welcoming you aboard Celebrity Equinox® for your 12-Night Ultimate Southern Caribbean cruise sailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Before we depart, we have some important information to share regarding your itinerary. Celebrity Cruises has been working closely with health and government authorities, in each country we sail from, to outline a clear path for cruising with new health and safety measures. As we thoughtfully plan our return to service, we are evaluating all current itineraries and the status of travel conditions around the world. This means some of our sailings will need to be modified. Specific to your future Celebrity Equinox sailing, our sail away from Fort Lauderdale has been adjusted to 6:00 PM.

Celebrity Equinox will sail with a vaccinated crew. For details on our current health and safety protocols please visit  https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea. Face masks are not required on board and optional for guests who choose to wear them. However, face masks may be required while ashore based on local regulations. We’re sailing with fewer guests for more space – and more luxury with even more activities to avoid large gatherings in public spaces. Additional testing and protocols will be confirmed closer to your sailing departure date in line with the most up to date recommendations from local government and health officials as well as our Healthy Sail Panel. These measures, including vaccination and testing requirements, will evolve along with public health standards.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these unique circumstances. We look forward to welcoming you aboard soon for an amazing Celebrity Cruises vacation.

    Sincerely,
    Celebrity Cruises"

  6. Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there.
Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable.
When she went to tell Edna the news she said, 'Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love.... I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness.
The bad news is, Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead.'

Edna replied, 'He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry.
How soon can I go home?'

They will compare the Celebrity loyalty program to their competitors and adjust accordingly.  Are there benefits on other cruise lines that are better and should be added?  Does any other cruise line have a better loyalty program that Celebrity should copy?  If the answer to these questions is no, don’t expect any improvements.

Absolutely, "X" cant compare, by a longshot to Oceania or Regent.
I enjoy our $400 OBC plus paid gratuities, on every cruise + shareholder benefit.
You're probably thinking they're out of your price range, but look at the value. Plus, they don't nickle/dime you to death. Such as no add'l charge for specialty restaurants. So, do the math.
And, not to get off topic - YES, I did receive the survey. Oddly, my husband didn't.
Happy Sails to all. Barbara 🙂
