Drury Inn vs Holiday Inn Superdome?

Looking at these two hotels (or open to other suggestions that are similar in cost) for one friday night in June. Can anyone share their pros/cons or experiences of the two? We will have a vehicle (I know Drury has $30 parking charge, did not see one listed on Holiday Inn but wouldn't be shocked if they have one), Two adults and 18 year old daughter sharing a room.
  3. Take a look at the pack and go specials on the GOCCL webiste (link near the bottom of the page and then go look those cruises up on the main carnival website with 4 people instead of 2 since the pack and go rates listed will be for 2 people and the greater breaks are on the on the 3rd/4th passenger.

12:25 Flight from FLL after debarking in Miami?

We're sailing out of Miami but it would still be nice to stay near Port Everglades and watch the ships leave Sunday and as you said have free shuttle back to the airport Monday. I'm pretty sure I can have SAS take me from Port of Miami to an FLL hotel since I amd taking them from the Airport to a Miami hotel . My understanding and I wasn't told anythign differently when I asked for a qoute 2 weeks ago was that if you use their service to get out of Broward county (FLL) then they can pick you up and return you to Broward county but they can't pick you up outside of Broward county the first time.

12:25 Flight from FLL after debarking in Miami?

After doing some number crunching I'm considering the option of just tacking on a post cruise hotel night in either MIA or FLL and taking the non-stop from FLL on Monday. Even with a hotel room it's probably about $100 cheaper and I think we should both be ok on PTO time at work.

12:25 Flight from FLL after debarking in Miami?

Looks like there are about 14K pax coming into Miami that day (5 ships) and 15K pax (6 ships) in FLL.

12:25 Flight from FLL after debarking in Miami?

The later and considerably more expensive flight is on American.

12:25 Flight from FLL after debarking in Miami?

There is an American non-stop from MIA at 3:10 $309 per person plus baggage fees. Southwest's 12:25 non-stop is $265 and bags fly free. I'm torn, I don't want to miss the flight that's for sure. DH hates flying so I was trying to stick to the non-stops if at all possible. Good thing he hasn't seen the price tag on this whole cruise so far, future cruises will probably be booked closer to sailing date since time will be more flexible but I only have this one week between classes that we could do it right now and I had to coordinate it with my anniversary date at work or burn the PTO and then not have it to cruise later in the year.
  9. We will be debarking in Miami at 8am on a Sunday morning and utiliizing SAS to get back to FLL. Curious if a 12:25 flight is two early as it's the only non stop back to STL. I haven't booked yet just looking for some opinions. I'd much prefer the non-stop option at 12:25 over changing planes in Raleigh Durham to leave at 2:05 instead.

    Altun Ha and River cruise?

I haven't been yet but have been reading good things about carnival tours belize dot com I'm seriously considering booking through them to save a little bit of money but will do some more reading first as I'm a first tiem cruiser (and first time outside of the US/Canada) and a bit nervous about taking not ship planned excursions.

Stay in Ft. Lauderdale or Miami?

We are flying into FLL on March 5th, 2011 arriving about 2pm and sailing out of Miami on March 6th. Should we stay in the FLL area or head to the MIA area that night? Also any particular areas of each that are good for two adults without a vehicle at their disposal? I plan on using SAS to get form the FLL to Miami area in general and will use shuttle or cab as needed other than that.

    Need help please.....Valor or Glory

If you haven't decided yet.......... I just had this delima when booking my march cruise, in the end it came down to the number of ships in port on the days were were at each port. check cruisett dot com and see what it looks like, that will give you an idea of how many passengers total will be invading the ports you are visiting. Keep in mind things like in Roatan if the water is too rough to dock at Mahogany Bay and Coxen Hole is filled up then you are getting an extra day at see rather than in port, for the week I had available in March the Glory was the only ship in port the day it's scheduled for Roatan.

    Carnival.com Updates

Same thing here, if I search for a cruise I get to the old booking engine to review prices, if I click through from my saved listings at the top it took me to a totally different booking engine that doesn't even show the cabin class (i.e. 8C). Once I click on Balcony it asked how many passengers, then select from the rate types (selected early saver), then balcony (some other classes were listed with their price impacts), then ship location (forward, midship, aft) and pricing impacts, then the deck (and any price impact for each deck), then a list of up to 10 available rooms, then it went to wanting guest info. I stopped there, I know it was for an 8C based on the rooms it showed in the list but I don't see anywhere that it officially says it's an 8C. Sorry I can't post pics as I'm at work right now.

    Dream, Glory, Legend, or Valor?

Guess I should update my thead, ended up choosing Glory. Ruled Dream out this time on price then picked Glory as it had the fewest ship in port each day according to cruisett dot com including being the only ship in Roatan.
