Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. In regard to setting a limit, and I apologize if this is repeat information, I received the best advice when my kids were young and I did the following... I set a limit of $50 on each of my kids cards. I told them whatever amount they had left at the end of the cruise they would get in cash to spend on whatever they wanted back home. My then 9 year old spent $35 in the arcade and on candy and my then 17 year old spent $5 buying a girl a drink:) They both had to make wise decisions... was it worth it to spend the money in the moment or wait? I actually set aside more than that just in case:) Neither one went without anything they wanted:)
  2. I have an RU3 Cheers offer. The price difference between the lowest rate on my 8 day cruise and the Cheers package was only $400-ish when I booked. I believe the 8 days cheers with gratuities for 2 is about 1100 or so. I thought I did pretty good. Is the RU1 even better than that? This is the first time I ever booked a Cheers package. I don't think I was ever offered a good enough deal before to actually take the deal.
  3. My blanket statement was about the same-ish cruises. I have compared apples to apples during sales of '3&4 sale free' and/or 'free everything else'. If the price of the other cruise line is already double the price or more, their sale is not going to be good enough to get me to jump ship. Now if their base price was similar and then they offered all the extras for free, that would seem more like a sale.
  4. Exactly! People will see that sale, not love the price, and then complain Carnival doesn't offer it. Others will jump on it and believe they got a better deal because there were free things... even though they are paying more than the price for all that on Carnival.
  5. I know:) I posted because someone else posted they wanted Coke back. I wanted people to know we aren't all Coke lovers:) I last cruised in January of 2020.... right in the middle of the change over. They had both Pepsi and Coke products for our cruise. People were confused. LOL. I am just happy to be cruising again. I am good with just water. 🙂
  6. I didn't want to start World War 3 on the other post so I created this one:) Thank you Carnival for carrying Pepsi products!!! 🙂 Every time I want something to drink I won't have to ask if it is a Coke product. LOL. Woohoo!
  7. There are many alcohol-free options in the Cheers package. All frozen drinks can be made without alcohol. There are coffees and teas and energy drinks and water and juice and the list goes on and on. My husband rarely drinks and I like to drink but can't drink for the both of us. Sometimes I get the drink package just so I don't have to think about how much I am spending... even though the package is not beneficial for us. But it makes sense in my thinking. LOL
