we were due to fly into Orlando with Virgin a few days prior to the cruise but just got the flight cancellation email..... think its fate

not scared either but who knows how cruising will be in the early stages of return.......face masks, social distancing....etc etc

Well we love cruising but we dont fancy being guinea pigs on the first sailings back so reckon we will take a rain check until next year.............

Many people will be in the same boat as us...pardon the pun....final payment date has to be made in July so decision to be made then. As airlines will only start to fly in July and cruises most likely not going ahead in July we will know nothing more than we know today. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Received an email regarding virgin airlines which many cruisers normally use. We are still deciding on whether to go on our October Caribbean cruise and have virgin booked however the current guidelines from virgin is that face masks will be worn by passengers and crew the entire flight I can’t see us travelling in October if this remains .....a 9hr flight with a face mask could be unbearable. So we have a cruise booked with a us agent which may need cancelling and we will receive a fcc deposit back I asked my UK ta to contact celebrity about using it against a 21 cruise we had explored. We were getting nowhere having been informed it could not be used in the UK Contacted celebrity customer relations who stepped in and within a day I received a phone call and email confirming I could use it and the lady even added a note to the booking we had explored meaning if we do cancel it should be painless moving forward. I think the burning question is. Do you want to cruise this year considering everything that’s happened. Do you want to sail in a confined place. That’s the questions we will ask ourselves if our cruise gets the okay later in the year. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Yes. I think cruise companies will set sail as soon as feasibly possible. If we start to see restrictions being lifted within the next four weeks personally I would see our Oct cruise going ahead. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Aft doesn’t bother us...due to the cost of the cruise it’s a 2021 Panama Canal we booked a 2c and got the one upgrade to 2b but the choice is limited none are available as mentioned by a previous poster. I like the look of the sweet sixteen cabins but only two are left the first two on either side 16 and 21 so if anyone has thought on these. Cheers Sent from my iPad using Forums
