  1. I will be booking a January eastbound crossing on QM2 in 2025 for my 50th Birthday.  This will be my first crossing.  I realize that weather in January will be cold.  I'm wondering if a balcony stateroom is useable at this time of year, or if I should just book an inside.  Looking for opinions from folks who have done both. Thank you.

I'm trying to figure this out w/o a phone call to MSC. I'm diamond, have my own balcony...do I get to bring a friend for the meal for 2 even though they are not in my cabin?

We were firmly told no on the Merlaviglia last February. I was travelling with My Mother-in-Law but had separate cabins.  We even asked to speak with a manager who refused to budge since she was not staying the the same cabin. We got up and left.

Leaving tomorrow on Divina and also YC. Where is the tent located since I am coming in on a shuttle bus. I know the Canaveral terminal is CT110, but is the YC tent near the regular drop off place for bags, near front door of terminal or somewhere else?

Your shuttle will drop you off right at the entrance to the terminal. There will be an escalator up to the entrance. The YC tent will be at the bottom of the escalator. Enjoy!

Is it 30% off the price you would pay if you booked it on the website while they are running sale? Or is it 30% off a non discounted rate? Thanks!

It's 30% off the rates you see on the website.

How long did it take to get your invoice? We ended up booking on Monday and the representative from MSC Concierge said she would send it, but so far nothing. I followed up with her this morning, but have not gotten a response.

I got mine right after she made the reservation.

  6. I have used a few of the MyVegas awards for MSC.  Last month I scored a free 2 nighter on the Divina, only had to pay for taxes and fees.   Yesterday, I redeemed for the 30% award.  After redeeming, I was sent a link to fill out a form with all of my information and preferred sail date.  A few hours after submitting the form, I received a call from a MSC Concierge who was great. I told her I was interested in the Merlaviglia in December.   I got the impression that were no blackout dates.  I was able to book a Yacht Club cabin and got 30% on top of my 5% Voyagers discount. The agency name on the booking confirmation in Play Studios which runs MyVegas, so unsure if it can be transferred to a TA.  Your loyalty coins are refundable as long as you don't make the reservation and put the deposit down. So, if you talk to the concierge and can't find what you are looking for, you can request a refund of your loyalty coins from MyVegas.  Hope this helps a bit.

lol mask compliance.  glad they are not enforcing.

They are enforcing, at least they were last week.  Just off the Divina yesterday.  Forgot my mask a few times and always was stopped and given a mask or went back to my cabin for mine.

  8. Question about an upgrade. My mother and I are booked in separate balcony cabins on the Divina in October. I got an upgrade offer, but she did not.  If I were to upgrade to Yacht Club and she did not, would I be able to bring her in to the area to spend time in my suite? Thank you!

  9. People say they'll try to get out of it, but if you have a good travel agent, they can often argue it so that it is honored. Unlike chain hotels they are not so gracious about accepting their mistakes and honoring these sorts of things.

When the Epic first came out, many of us on here got a Studio cabin for under $500 total. Many thought it was an error, but NCL never cancelled any of us that got it. Was a nice deal!

  10. I've been on one NCL cruise before but I forget - Do they take no for an answer? I get that it's their job, but that would be irritating.

Yes, you can most certainly decline any of the pictures that the ship photographers offer to take. I haven't had a single picture taken on any of my last several NCL cruises.

  11. Just booked one of the studio cabins on the 3/30/17 sailing of Royal's Brilliance of the Seas. 4 nights with taxes and fees came out to $394.

Been sailing solo for a while and love being able to find cruises for under $100 a night total. Sailed this same cruise last month and loved it, so grabbed this deal. The 3/16 sailing also has similar pricing for these cabins.
