I have done about 5/6 Meet/Greets... only once did I get anything.... and did not expect that....You do not do them for the extra perks you get....BECAUSE there is nowhere it says you will get any.... You do it for the fun of it...

DOES any one remember the old DREAM and her folding smoke stack....great memories .....sure wish there was something like her still around....have been on the Spirit, Jewell, Star, Sun, and Dawn as well as Dream...many twice....leaving on the Jewell in Oct......jus me....jim

HI NITA.... As you and I have discussed.... no M/G seems to be the thing for those of us sailing on the JEWELL in Oct. I have suggested to the few interested, that we meet Monday afternoon for casual drinks in the bar... not sure how many of is any will be there....BUT I will....for sure..... and do intend to have a G R E A T time on the Oct 4th sailing....lov ya...

Not ever staying in a Suite, but have had friends who have..(I am the poor relation ) lol..... they have had the butler have a tray of goodies in the cabin each afternoon.... when it was gone...to bad.....he did not mind doing this, and also got a very nice tip.... but don't forget the roon steward...he will have to keep the towels etc cleaned up and other things....

YES... always have paid mine,,,plus some extra all around. I once sailed on a ship, there were only six of us at the table.. last night, a party of 3 were sitting at another table with one of the ships officers,,, and the couple at the table DID NOT show up at all.....I was the only one to take care of the staff. I saw one of the two taking care of our table the next morning.. I ask if any of the others came be....was told no.....I could not sail this way...even if the service wasn't good, would still do something.....that's just me...

sailing on Oct 4... Jewell out of LA

HI ALL... Just off Jewell on Dec 6th.. we ate 5 nights in Tzars, as well as breakfast most mornings...service was very good, but we had the same waiter each time...we had a young man by the name of Ronald Peyton. We also ate two nights in the Bistro...first night great service, but the second time, which was Friday night, service was very poor and slow...not sure why. All the food was excellent .

Roll calls are usually a lot of fun when put together correctly... who ever is organizing it should keep all informed as to what/when/where everything is going on.. also keep up with all the folks joining in, as well as welcoming them to the board....in other words, take control of putting it together, and seeing that all goes well....if these things are done, it will be a great get together for all.....as to clothing, wear what you into wear the rest of the day, and you will be fine....just go and meet all the other nice folks there...

You can also ask whom ever you booked with to include it in you booking request...That is the way I have always done it..

The ships will start decorating when they come in after the trip including Thanksgiving....We usually sail the weekend after Thanksgiving, and the work is well underway....The decorators board as soon as possible, and stay with the ship that week if necessary.... so you may see some of the work being done....

HI.... I have set up several slot pulls in the past. and they all went well...we were usually given a rum punch by the casino, and the last two times we were given an open bar,,, and the very last time, besides the bar, we were given two bottles of sparkling wine to use as extra prizes.... you just need to work with the casino host when doing this....if the casino gives us Help with the slot pull, and we have a good bar server, I will usually take $10.00 out of whatever pot we have for the bar server...just good will......

suggestion..... if the sofa bed is to hard, ask for an egg create mattress...they put it on top, they are great...

If you order coffee/juice/rolls/etc on the card you hang on your cabin door at night....well, you can keep the tray, just remind your cabin steward to leave the tray...

HI... traveling solo on the Jewell Nov 29th and not worried a bit....usually travel with one or two others, but didn't work out this time, so its just me... I know I will meet others onboard. and do not mind dinning alone if necessary. and right now, don't have any plans for tours because have been to most of the places several times before....Nov 29...hurry up and get here...

Last time I was on board, the did not sell or serve Seltzer only Club Soda...so if you drink Seltzer you will have to bring your own....just wish they did serve it...

I am on the JEWEL on 11/29/14.....just got an upgrade for the price I had paid before.....inside (10) to an ocean view aft on 8...no additional cost...and kept my obc... great.... sailing alone.,,,,,,

you mean there was no music going in any of the other lounges or bars...this does not seem likely.......NCL most always has music going in at least 4 places a night......am I wrong......
