  1. FYI Delta doesn't include lounge with first class domestically except on a few DeltaOne routes. But that's okay I am an Amex cardholder and already in First that day. I was glad nobody jumped up to scream "2:30 is still iffy" so I went with Miami to get home 90 minutes earlier.
  2. Hey look, Gig103 is back with more schedule shenanigans. I had ultimately booked a 6pm FLL flight after advice here, and was going to rent a car for the day, and now Delta moved my flight to 8am. Obviously not going to work, and I have the following replacement options and am soliciting feedback > 2:30 out of MIA connect in MSP > 2:30 out of FLL connect in MSP > 3:20 out of FLL connect in ATL > 6:00 out of MIA still nonstop I have lounge access in the event things go smoother and I get to the airport early as well. Would you go through MIA for the convenience and closer distance to the port, if flying Delta? My last experiences in MIA were dreadful but those are both 5+ years ago. Jim's advice sounded relaxing, but we both have work the following day. At least there is minimal jetlag going westbound!
  3. So yeah, that is quite the impressive Bourbon selection as your husband pointed out! Do you have the premium package? Also, if you or he happen to see Jameson on the menu, can you report if it's still at $10 (so part of the classic package)? TIA!
  4. Wow , yeah , I had seen 0600 on the Itinerary but even if we had your perfectly smooth experience we would not have been comfortable with our FLL flight. As for the MIA/FLL decision, I have yet to have even a half decent experience at MIA!
  5. Okay, wow. Two rapid and emphatic answers. I very much appreciate it, moving my flights tout de suite!
  6. Hey all, This is going to be my first time on Regent and only second time sailing into Miami. The flight I'd like to take is 11:15am out of FLL; my itinerary says we arrive at 0600 and Regent says 4hrs after arrival. However, I'm seeing a bunch of posts about the delays at the port, and customs, and time it takes to get to the airport. However, the Regent ship is far smaller than most of the lines, and we arrive on a Wednesday not a weekend, so I'm wondering if I'm inside the comfort zone. If not, what time would one consider the start of the RSSC "4 hour window"? The next best time is like 3pm, but because of the layover I would get home at 10pm, or I can take a 6pm nonstop to also get home at 10pm. The 11:15am flight gets in at 4:30pm which is far preferable if I'll make it without too much stress!
  7. No answer, just editorializing. I barely own two weeks of clothes since I do laundry at home. I'd just depend on the included laundry service on board!
  8. I can see that point, although at sea I can't remember the last time I saw someone on a voice/video chat at dinner, it's usually photos of food, internet browsing, texting in my experience.
  9. Just goes to show that there's always someone judging you for something that doesn't affect them in the least. Shoes? Phones? Eating habits? Weight? Bathing suit? Portion size? Cabin class? Living your best life is not worrying what others think.
  10. I've always wanted, but never had, an aft facing balcony. I was wondering what about it was a let down for you, not that I have one booked! Edit: Was it that there was a common area deck just below?
  11. Storytime! On an MSC cruise I was at a trivia event and was the only one who knew the answers to some pop trivia. A group of retirees about 30 years my senior invited me to join their trivia team for the upcoming 4 day tournament and we ended up winning first prize!
  12. A few follow-on questions on the topic. 1) If the itinerary has three Vietnamese ports, but all in a row, is that a single entry, or multiple entry? 2) I found an official pdf of valid "Evisa port" and Ha Long Bay is not listed, if that's our first port of call what would more experienced travelers suggest?
