  1. I'll be on Explorer of the Seas in March and we are stopping in Cap Cana. In port 9-2 with a tender. Looking for a beach nearby. Stumbled upon Juanillo Beach and Api Beach. Can anyone tell me how far from the port these are, how much cabfare is and if one is better than the other? Thanks!
  2. Does anyone know where the Explorer of the Seas docks? Will be cruising in March. Wondering if there are any beaches nearby. Itinerary just says "Punta Cana". Specifically interested in Playa Juanillo. Thanks.
  3. Going to St. Thomas in March. Want to do beach on our own. 5 ships in port that day, most at the same time. Recommendations? Basically looking for a beach with chairs, umbrella, food and drink, possible snorkeling but not a necessity. And/or Kon Tiki party boat to Water Island. Considering: Megan's Bay Honeymoon Beach Trunk Bay St. John Water Island - can anyone tell me about Water Island? Thanks!
  4. Question: Going on a theme cruise in March. Originally booked four people in an interior room. One person had to cancel. Cruise sails in 73 days. Will cruiseline/promotor (RCC/ECP) allow us to stay three people in a room that accommodates four or will they try to move us to another room? Ship is pretty much sold out...there is a waiting list. Also, what about a price change? I believe the 3rd and 4th person were $1,000 each, so I'm assuming that $1,000 will be taken off price of room? Help! Thanks!
  5. Can anyone recommend a hotel near the airport with multiple rooms that accommodates 7? Staying one night pre-cruise. Looking for free airport shuttle, breakfast and accessibility to a shuttle to Port of Miami. Presently booked at Homewood Suites Miami Airport West, but it doesn't look like there is anywhere near there to go have dinner, drinks, etc. for pre-stay evening. Thanks!
  6. Can anyone recommend a shuttle that would accommodate 7 people that would take us round trip as follows: From FLL Airport to Miami Hotel; and From Pompano Beach to FLL Thanks! 😊😊
  7. Hi All. Coming in for a cruise out of San Pedro port in October. Flying in to LAX and arriving around 9:00 a.m. Looking for a hotel to spend the day and do stuff (maybe beach), but want to be close to the port the next morning. Uber or shuttle would be fine. I now there is the Crown Plaza and Doubletree near the port but doesn't look like there is much to do there. Was thinking maybe Long Beach? Any suggestions? Anywhere else? Looking for a mid-range price hotel around $150 or so within a 20 minute or so range to get to the port. Thanks! :)
  8. I did a day pass at Numero Uno/Pamela's in Puerto Rico a few years ago. I had a great time and the place, food, drinks were excellent. Does anyone know if this place is still in existence and/or if they still do a day pass? Having a hard time finding info. Thanks.
  9. Thanks. I decided not to stress and go through the ship.
  10. I redeemed quite a few of my credit card points for on board credit. Does anyone know if these credits appear in your room upon arrival? Barclay Card told me I have to take my print out to the desk onboard. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks.
  11. Looking to spend as much time at Rum Point as possible and have lunch at the Wreck for my BF's birthday. Looking at Nativeways "Rays, Reefs and Rum Point" or Carnival's "Stingray City Sandbar and Rum Point Beach Safari" Can anyone recommend either one of these tours and if one is better than the other? Thanks. :)
  12. Thanks for the info. Guess I'll be going with the minivan. :)
  13. I need to rent a car when I get off of the boat in Miami. Since I am impatient (I waited 2 hours one time at Budget near the port), I'd like to know if anyone knows who has the better shuttles to Miami Airport. My plan is to shuttle to the airport, rent the car there and return it there. Leaning towards Enterprise. Also, we have 6 adults and 6 large suitcases....Would a minivan cut it or should I go with a Durango? Thanks. :)
