Has anyone done any camel excursions that weren't through the boat and what was your experience? We had one booked through Royal Caribbean in March and it was canceled. We get into port at 1:00 and are there until 11:00 p.m. I understand that you have to purchase the tour's photos and you cannot bring a phone or any belongings with you. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

I am booked there for March and just found out they closed down. I called Best Western's main number and was told I had to contact the "new owner". Our rate was also prepaid. The "new owner" from what I read on line....is a going to be a homeless shelter.
