Another data point: I sail on a 10 day cruise in two days and I am elite.  My app is giving me $249.90 for single device, full cruise, and $449.90 for 4 devices.   I'm not sure why it's $45/day instead of $40 as others claim on this thread.  These must be pre-elite-discount prices so I'll be paying roughly $22.50/day for 4 devices which is $5.62/day/device which is fine.  We'll share the 4 devices among 4 individuals.   I usually purchase on board first day - if my discount is cabin credit that's fine - all comes out in the wash.

So is it $40 or $45/day?

Is your status correct on the app.  Mine is not so I get the inflated pricing.  DH is correct and shows discounted price.

Thank you. I have heard that even if you share you are charged for 2. This is our 6th cruise but haven't cruised in almost 20 years. This cruise for us is about the scenery, wildlife, experience, etc and we agreed the dining, particularly the MDR wasn't important to us. But I have no problem with asking about sharing at the time.

We have only utilized Vines with using alacarte not the casual dining credits and have been charged appropriately.

  3. Photo of our Charcuterie Board on the Sky last year, first cruise after the change..  We have been on several cruises since and the board has included additional breads which were lacking on the original.  For us, this is a meal. Definitely shareable.   Truffles are to die for with a great full body red.
You can also order alacarte.   Truffles, $3 for 6 pieces with after dinner red.

  4. I may be wrong, you booked the Plus package when Casual Dining (Alfredos) was free.    We sailed August 2023 with the $50 package we booked in May and the Casual Dining was not included.   We had the option on upgrading to the new Plus package for an additional $10pp per day.   We chose not to just paid alacarte.

Stateroom number E632.  I really doubt it was a wine bottle as it was deafening.  But you never know.

And let me clarify JimmyVWine-- we do not want future cruise credits.  That makes us spend another few thousand dollars to save $1000.  No thanks.  We want our money refunded.

We were in E414 with a lot of noise.   An obvious issue with this stateroom as there were shims around the door frame and molding.    A great stateroom that we would book again as for an obstructed view there was no obstruction.

Sorry you had issues but I would not book so far aft on lower decks.

Your Travel Summary will indicate the meeting points and time for the transfer to Southampton, usually around 10:30am.   You check in with the reps, they give you a ticket or sticker indicating which bus to board.   There are seats available while waiting for your group to board.   All very controlled.  Our transfer was a little delayed due to the buses coming from Southampton arriving late because of traffic.

This is a copy of the info in our Travel Summary from September 2023.  The transfer took well over 2 hours due to traffic.

What purpose does having past cruises show up on the App serve?  Is this the only way for IT to correct loyalty that is showing up as incorrect?  Seems like a waste of memory on the App servers.

For some of us who need to track travels it is  a major step forward showing the complete itinerary.   Also seeing cabins we have been in previously takes the guess work out of future bookings.   Loyalty level in the app is nothing.   Ours have been wrong for a couple of years, correct for the launch of the new App and has now reverted to new guest.  The only thing to be concerned about is your Captain Circle account reflecting correct status.

Yup, the upcharge for specialty dining (SD) used to include a baked-in gratuity.  Now they are adding it on top as a "backdoor" way to increase the prices.

Depends on when you booked.   We are recently off the Ruby and were not charged the additional.  We booked dining prior to the change.   Will see what happens on our next couple of cruises with dining paid in full prior to the change.

  10. June last year we were invited to the MTP at around 400 days.   I think we just scraped in.   Round trip to Alaska out of Seattle.
Next cruise out of Southampton to Norway we missed by 1400 days.

February cruise, 10 day Panama Canal we were 4 and 5 most travelled.
Shorter cruises are heavy in first time cruisers.   Longer the cruise, more Elite.
Laundry return times are a good measure of the number of Elites on board.

Im still only seeing one of ours in the NEW app also  just been in apple App Store and see No Update

    Thanks

    Nancy 🍹

Are you in an IPhone?  If so, search for Princess Cruises, download.  When downloaded, click on your Profile in the bottom right hand corner and there all your future cruises will be.

  12. The new app has been updated this afternoon.  Can now see all cruises booked, dining reservations show, chat feature enabled for guest to guest chat.   Now if the excursions would populate Journey view it would be great.   Big improvement.

We've been quoted a much lower price at the future cruise desk. Can't apply future cruise deposit and must be paid in full. My partner thinks we can still apply CCL Shareholder OBC. The future cruise consultant said "you can try". Couldn't provide a yes or no answer. They seemed very new in their position.

Who has booked a pay in full onboard with no OBC offered and applied and been successful with Shareholder OBC applied?

Can you post a copy of the list of available cruises under this promo.   We have utilized it in the past and were not able to use FCD.   We did add shareholder and military.  This was on the Sky in September.

Thanks everyone. I think I will just ask at the dining venue we go to. If we have to, we will just pay the extra price for his meal.

I was thinking of going to the pub venue (can't remember the name of the restaurant) for the fish and chips on the Enchanted for something different.

You do not need to pay the $14.99 for the fixed menu.   Each course has a price for alacarte dining.   If your ship has Alfredo’s you can order a pizza separately.  Look at the menus for casual dining locations, courses are individually priced and find what is your best fit.

Disappointing that Ruby would be looking shopworn after having just undergone renovation a few months ago.

On the same cruise.  Majority of upgrades seem to be making it flagship for ADA compliant which was confirmed at the CC get together.    Cabins do not have USB or additional outlets. We have sailed on her several times since restart.   Crew are short handed and it shows.   Sabatinis still the best, Crown Grill great, coffee disgusting, Vines okay.   We ate in the dining room one night.
Overall she is a great ship for 15 years old.   Will we sail her again, more than likely not.
