  1. A year ago today, we took the 16 1/2 hour flight to Auckland to get on Maasdam, for what was supposed to be 34 days of Fiji islands, French Polynesian islands, and Hawaiian Islands. The developing pandemic cut our sailing short, but it was still the best possible way to prolong living the good life onboard, while delaying the doom & gloom that hit us in the face once we got off the ship on March 28th.
  2. Guess we'll have to wait & see. Nothing like suspense. 😕
  3. I don't like the sound of this: https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/23757-cdc-defer-all-cruise-travel.html
  4. That's Hawaii's decision, not HAL's. Hawaii probably won't be allowing cruise ships back until late 2021.
  5. We finally got our refund & future cruise credits for our Maasdam Auckland to San Diego cruise that was cut short when all this craziness started. Be patient; it'll come.
  6. HAL is cutting out the paper packets of equal to reduce paper waste? Sorry, but if that's really the motive, then why the glut of paper ads in our on board mailboxes?
  7. Absolutely love your photos from snorkeling off Kleine Bonaire! Thanks for sharing them!
  8. No, you'd both be stuck on the ship. The OP said those born before 1956 were allowed ashore.
  9. Just goes to show ya, sometimes it pays to be an old timer. 😉
  10. I'm thinking it's either a smallpox vaccine or BCG vaccine, (for TB).
  11. I wasn't aware that MMR vaccine left a mark. Are you sure that's not a smallpox vaccine scar on your upper arm?
