  1. MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN TO THE PORT OF BELIZE CITY SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST 20 YEARS, AND AS WELSHY74 MENTIONED AND I AGREE WITH, IT IS SOMEWHAT DANGEROUS IF YOU DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE YOU MAY BE WALKING TO. NCL GAVE UP ON THE PORT SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND LEASED, I BELIEVE, HARVEST CAYE AS THEIR OWN PRIVATE ISLAND. THOSE PASSENGERS HAVING SHORE EXCURSIONS ON THE MAINLAND ARE FERRIED OVER TO THE PORT AND ARE TRANSPORTED ON AIR CONDITIONED BUSES TO THEIR EXCURSION DESTINATIONS.😉
  2. YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION RATTAN CHAIR, SOUNDS LIKE THE BEGINNING OF A SHIP'S MYSTERY NOVEL😉
  3. THAT'S GOOD TO KNOW!!!! I ENJOY HAVING SOME SNACKS TOSSED IN MY LUGGAGE THAT I CAN EAT WHEN THE URGE HITS ME. I ALSO HAVE A HUMIDOR WITH SOME PUERTO RICAN CIGARS MY WIFE AND I ENJOY AFTER DINNER ABOARD SHIP!😎
  4. I hate to rank cruise lines by food, but here goes my top to bottom of the lines I've sailed aboard: HAL: ALWAYS TASTY NCL: UP UNTIL JACK DEL RIO TOOK OVER, THE FOOD WAS PRETTY GOOD! NO WAY NOW! PRINCESS: I WAS PRETTY HAPPY WITH THE FARE ABOARD PRINCESS' SHIPS MSC: ONLY ONE CRUISE ABOARD THE SEASIDE, IN THE YC AND THE FOOD THERE WAS SATISFACTORY. I HAVE 25 DAYS COMING UP IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS ABOARD THE DIVINA FOLLOWED BY THE SEASIDE. WE'LL SEE HOW THAT GOES😉
  5. Mimmy52, Your comments about the Baked Alaska brought back memories from when I began cruising aboard ships of the Holland America Line in the late 1990's. The dish was served only one night during a 7 day cruise, but the presentation was like a military parade. 😉The Baked Alaska was brought as the lights were dimmed in by the waiters with sparklers lit up on large silver trays held up above the tables with the waiters parading through and around all the dining in all the dining rooms! Quite an image!😃
  6. I can only say WOW!!!! I've had the pleasure to visit Madrid while stationed in Crete, but never made it to Barcelona! The architecture is simply astounding! You have made me put that city on my bucket list! Your photos are amazing. Thanks for sharing😃
  7. Thanks for all the information you provided!!! It sure helps to know the ins and outs on MSC's ships😎
  8. I felt I got what I paid for last April aboard the Seaside, the Yacht Club was a large step above the Haven on that other line, which is a real let down for instance when your SUITE has a deck of 56 sq feet!!!! The pool was the size of a blow up in your back yard, and the sun area had rooms surrounding it, limiting the Sun! I'll stay with my upcoming winter cruising aboard the Divina and Seaside and be happy with that choice.😉
  9. I just got this far reading your post here Skier52 and really appreciate your time and efforts to inform us here on this board! You've given me a world of information for my upcoming cruises aboard the Divina and Seaside. Thanks!!!
  10. How totally terrible for the family as well as the medical staff! Our prayers are with all involved.😢
  11. A couple of years ago, my wife and I had enough of what Jack Del Rio was doing to NCL, a line that we really enjoyed over the years prior to his choice as the NCL CEO! We were looking for a a cruise line that was something different. Our Booking agent told us about the MSC line, and thought we would love cruising in the Yacht Club aboard their brand new ship, the Seaside! She said she would get our loyalty info from NCL and submit it for review by MSC for similar status with them. MSC matched us with their Black level for our first cruise with them in April of 2019! I now have 25 days booked in the YC for winter of 2020 between the Divina and the Seaside. MSC's business plan sure seems to be working for my wife and I! I can't think of a reason to go anywhere else.😉
  12. Thanks for the info. My wife and I will be aboard the Divina for eleven nights, followed by four nights in Downtown Miami, then fourteen nights on the Seaside. I'm guessing at least 6 to 8 formal nights, over those two cruises. So dry cleaning will be on our menu during our free time between cruises, at least for the formal wear. We'll have to see if the hotel has a laundry capability for every day clothing, which I'm pretty sure they have. 😉 Again, thanks for the info. 17 weeks, 6 days and 19 hours left until be board the MSC Divina😁
  13. Thanks for that reassurance Chris, makes us feel better!😉
  14. I'm curious as to where the Seaside docked during your port call? I've been spoiled by docking directly downtown so many times, but am wondering if because of the size of the Seaside, it might be docked at the south end of town.😉
