  1. We stayed in an interior mid ship deck 6 on this ship. Convenient and quiet
  2. Wow, was looking over to the bridge and watching the Legend leave Sunday while visiting our son and family (they live federal hill area) can see from their rooftop, he said a few neighbors heard a big thunder type sound when it collapsed. So much debris and will be a big undertaking for repairs, etc., a big economic impact, too with so many imports and exports of products. I am sure it will be a priority and as quickly as possible to repair. I'm thinking Cape Liberty or NY to return for the cruise ships unless they decide to fly people home from one of the FL ports. Norfolk is under construction. Thankful it was not at a busy time but so tragic for those impacted.
  3. We passed on our Ultra offer. It was only discounted and Premier was the better deal with free cabin and 200 obc. Booked a premier instead. We are playing more table games vs. slots and so our points are not as high as years ago. Seems though most every cruise on Carnival is either a premier, ultra... Much more crowded than years ago.
  4. We were on the Horizon last month and both DH and I said how Guy's burgers were not the same as when they first came out, not bad but sure not as good. But, most of the time we saw the long lines to get them... We prefer blue cantina. Isn't it nice when you have a choice!
  5. Agree, we sailed on Virgin last year and they have one of the most awesome deck parties I've ever seen on a cruise, we will be on the Ascent Feb. 11th so we can compare the two.
  6. How nice this is that X and RC are doing this tier match. I wish Holland/Carnival/Princess would do the same.
  7. We were advised last week when we asked about the move up bid option and were told we could not participate due to it being a comped casino cruise. Our cruise is one month away.
  8. Love NYC...#1 Norfolk was awesome especially if you like military ships like the aircraft carriers, battleships, etc., fun to see and different.
  9. That's interesting, which ship will you be sailing on next week?
  10. Great review and pics!! Do they still give out the wristbands for Havana guests? Or are they checking cards? We are in interior havana in Feb. (3rd time) been several years. Thanks
  11. Enjoying your review. We will be on the legend again in a few weeks. Last minute booking. We agree about Jacks shack is definitely not the same vibe, but better than M-ville in our opinion. Enjoy your last day. Hey, can you find out if the house band will still be onboard next month? Thanks
  12. We will sail on the Ascent in February. We last cruised on Celebrity in 2010 on one of the last Mercury voyages. We are so excited that we finally are sailing on Celebrity again! I'm looking forward to those who sail before us with their thoughts and hopefully pictures of this ship.
  13. Hello. Do you have to pay in Euros for the bus/train to Dublin or can you use a credit card? We are wondering if we should convert to some Euros for a few stops next month. Thank you.
  14. Wonderful review, great pictures. Can't wait to sail the Pride again!
  15. It's been awhile since we cruised on a 10 night cruise with Carnival, will be on Magic next week and usually we do not sail the summer months but hoping it will not be too many kids since it is a 10 nighter, Regardless, we make the best of our time on our cruises no matter if it's packed with kids or not. We are all on vacation and you never know if it's your last one. Happy, Happy cruising!!
  16. For a 10 night cruise are you still only allowed 2 bottles of wine?
  17. So, coffee makers are back? Balcony and up? Thanks, on the Getaway in September and checking
  18. Yes, we agree with you, we made it through thirty minutes and quietly stepped out.
  19. Yes, we agree with you, we made it through thirty minutes and quietly stepped out.
  20. The Virgin Valiant Lady out of Miami has 8 night cruises, we just cruised this month. Many we talked to on VL said they hope we see an expansion with Virgin in the future as far as embark ports. I think you would like Virgin
  21. We sailed on VL on Jan. 14th (8nights) got off and hopped on NCL Encore for a week. I wish we had sailed Encore first because what a letdown NCL was after VL. Of course the occupancy was less than 30 percent on VL vs. NCL at full capacity. But, we liked the no announcements, no kids, no daily fees, gratuities. Free wifi, and truly happy crew members. We are platinum on NCL so have plenty of cruise time with them and will continue to cruise NCL. I like the smaller NCL ships. Food choices on VV is wonderful. VV is not for everyone but as I mentioned before in another post that everyone should read up on reviews and know the basics on VV and decide for yourself. We are planning to cruise VV again out of Europe.
  22. We got deep blue perks, too but no bracelet. I wondered what those were for and now I know.
  23. We are platinum on CCL and NCL. We just got off NCL Encore last Sunday and it was so crowded. But, we are leaning toward more HAL cruising. We have 3 with HAL. Cruised 2x Celebrity, one Royal. We also tried Virgin the week prior the Encore and surprisingly with really enjoyed it much more than anticipated. No kids, no annoying announcements, no daily gratuities, Free wifi, and best food we have ever had on a cruise. Crew was the happiest and talked to many of the crew that spoke about their previous jobs on CCL, Princess, NCL, Royal to name a few that Virgin treated them with much more respect, Virgin may not be for all but another choice. We plan to try them again but out of Europe. Saying this we have 2 CCL cruises planned this year. Like you after so many we are trying out new lines, new ships, etc., just love cruising.
