  1. Nice to see Lobster Theodore there. Are the Le Bistro (or any speciality dining venue) menus the same across the fleet as I'm sure I saw a recent Le Bistro menu where it was missing?   3. I can't see any reference on my invoice. When will points show on your account? Is it after you completed the cruise? I had 7 points before booking my upcoming cruise and still have 7 points showing. Also, on another note, any idea why my wife and I might be showing as different 'client types' on my invoice? I'm showing as bronze and my wife as 'prospect'?

Yes, when you look at it like that then it does look like it's included, although your example also excludes mini bar purchases which aren't included in the Plus package so it's not quite cut and dried. Edit: Ah, I don't think I read it properly and can see that the Plus exclusions do mention mini bar purchases so I think you're most probably correct. Since I last posted I've had an assurance from an NCL personal cruise consultant that Starbucks is included though. Thanks for your input everyone.
  5. Well the term 'speciality coffee' could refer to Lavazza coffee which, as I mentioned, we had on Jade a couple of weeks ago and weren't charged for. The Bailey's in coffee you mention is a speciality coffee as we all recognise, like Irish coffee or Calypso coffee, and could be what they are referring to. That would simply be a shot of whiskey and some cream in a regular coffee. Although having said that, that should be available to anyone on the non-plus package anyway. I agree with you in thatI don't see why they are so vague about it if it is included. They could simply say that 'all/any coffees and tea that are available' are included. Yes, I've also seen posts where people say they are included but the lady I spoke to on live chat was pretty adamant that they Starbucks isn't included in any drinks package.
  6. Yes but unfortunately it still doesn't help. The link in that thread merely states 'speciality coffees'. I think the way forward is to wait until we're onboard then ask at the actual Starbucks and take it from there.
  7. I would say it's just NCL trying to guarantee that a cabin is filled. Remember, they don't go to bids until 2 weeks before the cruise so they can quite happily get some bids in the locker, then if the cabin doesn't go at full price, they go to the bids and just get the most they can. Having guests who paid $800 for a Haven cabin is better than having it empty.
  8. My bid email says they usually review bids between 1 and 14 days before the cruise and then email you if successful.
  9. I would imagine so. How could you be outbid if you bid the maximum? I'm pretty sure they review the bids and give it to the highest bidder. I don't think it's a lottery.

  11. Sorry, I know there had been discussion on it but I still can't find a definitive answer: Is Starbucks included with Premium Plus? We are considering upgrading, largely because we assumed that 'speciality coffee' would include Starbucks. I've read threads on here where Starbucks is mentioned as a benefit of upgrading. I have just asked on live chat and was told categorically that Starbucks isn't included in any package. We were on Jade a couple of weeks ago and we upgraded, and although the coffee bar in The Atrium is branded 'Lavazza' the coffee came in Starbucks branded cups and we weren't charged for any of them. We're on Getaway in 2 weeks which I believe has a full-blown Starbucks but if it's not included in the upgrade then it's really not worth it to us. We drink a lot of coffee so it would go a long way towards justifying the upgrade were it included. Thanks.

  13. I've just had an email from them which is somewhat reassuring. They clearly state that they have taken the amount showing on my invoice. The amount you are to see is a pre-authorisation hold on your account and should have been cleared soon. Please let me explain about our pre-authority hold: For the guest’s convenience, all shipboard expenses are charged to the On-board account. Sign up when you check in, establishing your method of payment with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB Card, Diner's Club. You may also use your debit card however please be advised that we obtain pre-authorisation, as we do for all Credit Cards, and some banks hold these funds for up to 30 days. Cash can also be used as a method of payment to settle your account with an initial deposit paid in advance. Using your debit or ATM card Norwegian does not recommend the use of a debit card as payment for your on-board folio. Please be advised that multiple holds will be placed on your debit card account based on your on-board purchases.
