  1. This move today may make your Travel Insurance null and void for Cruise Ship Travel https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection/latest-travel-health-advice.html#cruise Avoid all cruise ship travel The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is recommending that Canadians avoid all cruise ship travel due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. Cruise passengers include travellers from around the world who may be arriving from areas with known or unknown spread of COVID-19. The virus can spread quickly on board cruises due to the cl
  2. It is one thing to clean and sanitize hard surfaces but when it comes to soft surfaces like fabric chairs, curtains, beds, pillows it is not that easy. Mattresses especially. Bedding can we washed but mattresses should be sealed and treated under pressure and I rather doubt this is done on any regular basis.
  3. I have actually gone out of my way to find the last ship of the year. The last ship of the year is not necessarily Princess but I have I have had one experience on Princess and two on Celebrity. The weather was fine, most of the activities are still on and the Port of Skagway makes it all worthwhile. I wont give it away but Skagway was the best send off you will experience. Make sure it is the last cruise ship of the year. Enjoy.
  4. You just show up. As to extended family they would have to show up at same time as you to make sure you were seated together. Food not necessarily same as buffet. You order off menu that is prepare for that day. Thats it.
  5. Royal Caribbean is stepping up their action: " Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (RCL.N) issued a statement on Friday saying: “Any guest or crewmen traveling from, to, or through mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau less than 15 days prior to their sailing will be unable to board any of our ships.” But it did not stop there. It also said, “Any guests holding a Chinese, Hong Kong or Macau passport, regardless of when they were there last, will not be allowed to board our ships.”
  6. This is an interesting website for those wondering what other countries are dealing with and it updates periodically . https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
  7. Use to see Exchange Machines on some of the ships but then again maybe only in Europe and maybe only before the Euro came out. The Ruby will be coming back to NA in a few months from Australia and just wondering if they would have a machine on her. I know they were more expensive than the banks but they were convenient.
  8. It has always taken a good 6 to 7 weeks for mine to come back and it is very annoying as they are using your money to work with and not paying for it. I am always amazed at how many people pay for gratuities, drink packages, excursions etc. sometimes many months in advance of a cruise.. Princess gets to use this money and over the number of people who do this they make a lot of money.
  9. Ah thanks. I keep seeing people mention that it speeds up checking in for cruises but unless you had them with you when you check in I did not see how it would speed things up. Will have to wait and see if and when they send to Canada.
  10. Not had a Medallion . Do they send it to you prior to the cruise ?
  11. You can bring one bottle per person on free but then they are suppose to collect $15 per bottle beyond that. Doesnt always happen, again its hit and miss with Princess.
  12. I think it is just us that weakens over time.
  13. I agree with all those who have had difficulties trying to get a wine package on those trips when we believe they should be available. I now bring my own wine onboard and pay the $15. You not only resolve the Princess problem of not being consistent but you get the wine of your choice.
