  1. Feeling pretty guilty about all of this, but for a change, we didn't get the sticky end of the lollipop, but the yummy part. We're getting the extra day, you folks will be missing out on. To be very honest, I'd almost trade the extra day for a departure from Manhattan..... Does anyone know just who/what/why is messing up the Brooklyn terminal to force such a change?
  2. What a lovely picture of TB.....you're a laaa key....man!!!
  3. I had the best steak of my life in Prime 7 (if you like beef) but Pacific Rim has fabulous variety and the tempuras are hard to beat. Although Chartreuse wouldn't be my first pick (but still wonderful) they get the high mark for table settings. I always feel special when sitting down for dinner there. (haha!)
  4. Thank you for your report. I felt I couldn't click the little "heart" that says "like" for your post as I didn't "like" it, but totally appreciated it. I agree with all you commented on, and hope to see a day when we can be kinder to ALL.
  5. We've been enjoying all of your commentary, pix, etc. The only thing that would've made this better would've been an in person account.....shades of the "infamous" Explorer TA from a few years ago! Sounds like you've got beautiful weather and are enjoying all that the Splendor and Regent has to offer. Keep sipping, sampling and carry on! Best to you both on the big 40! John and Linda
  6. So very good to be hearing from you! John and I, like so many posting here have missed you on board AND on CC! We'll be doing a similar route in September, also on the Splendor and although not a full blown reunion, tnr will be sailing with us. We'll be following along with your adventures! Congrats on the big 40....very special, you're only 13 years behind us...haha! Fair winds and following seas........ J&L
  7. ooo....not too happy to hear that, and so sorry for your incovenience/loss on your March cruise. We're on for a Feb. Caribbean number on the Grandeur. I'd be horrified to hear that was cancelled as we'll be with friends who we are so looking forward to seeing. I would think Regent could do alot better than a mesily credit...not even a good one. Keep us posted on how you make out........
  8. I have a an iphone, but it's a love/hate affair for me. Yes, they're useful for somethings, but I hate needing to carry it all over with me. For the most part, I lock mine in the safe once I'm onboard. As Dave mentioned, there are computer terminals that are available to us and I use them, not my phone. Lots easier to type on for an old lady....hahaha! And yes, a program is delivered to your cabin each evening....you don't need your phone.
  9. As I said, we're in the bottom bottom...haha! G2...it's small but totally functional as we've been in one before. Even if we don't move, we'll make do as we're on the cruise with friends. However a little something would be welcome! We'll see what happens! Fingers crossed!!!
  10. And speaking of GTYs, has anyone actually gotten a better cabin, up from the guarantee? We're in a bottom bottom of a seriously waitlisted cruise. Any hope for something a little better? Certainly not expecting a suite, but maybe a little something?
  11. And we think it's actually pretty nice.....you can actually drink it!
  12. Although I've been following along, I haven't said THANK YOU! for the excellent account of your cruise. We enjoy all of the Regent ships, different reasons for all, but we find the little Navigator particularly charming. Hope you felt the same. Safe travels home....
  13. Thank you all for your input. Looks like it's going to be nippy no matter when we go! We've got plenty of cold weather/foul weather gear, so we can be prepared!
  14. In the port of Sydney, within the cruise terminal is a large pavilion which is usually loaded with fine craftsman's wares. It's one of my favorite places to shop in Nova Scotia/Cape Breton. All quality made items, no junk, no tee shirts, etc. Right next to the "big fiddle"!
  15. Considering the Dawn's North Cape in '24.Mid June or September? Any info? Advice? Thoughts?
  16. I know there is a smattering of cruises listed on the Regent website, but most are Asian itineraries or bits and pieces of "Grand Voyages". Does anyone know when "the rest" of '25 might come online? Thinking Med and Northern Europe....
  17. LOVE the Mandarin. Their bathrobes are to die for!!!
  18. Thanks everyone! Will begin the renewal now!
  19. While we're in passport mode, I've got another question. In the past there has always been a request to have your passport valid for 6 months past the end of your trip. Is this still in effect? We've got a cruise on the Grandeur in mid April and my passport expires in mid August. Do I need to renew it now? Have upcoming cruises in Sept. and Feb, '24. I'd need to do it now, if I must renew. Thanks in advance
  20. Absolutely! Have been in that situation before. Have never had that person turned away. Would’ve been terribly bad form if they were.
  21. They do a fabulous job with laundry! A real treat! we think it’s the best perk any line can give!
  22. Thanks, Flossie! That's all I wanted to know.
  23. Can we send out things to just have pressed (ex. slacks, etc) that don't really need to be washed? Or is there a separate charge for pressing?
