I personally was very comfortable with the ATD/TD setup, Wife and I personally prefer ATD due to flexibility. I don't totally agree with your assessment of the age and physical condition ofay approaching middle age (I would never say this to them as my memorial service would soon follow) with children and I believe that Princess wants to attract them, especially [when they become empty nesters.

I am amazed that many seem not to realize that Princess, beginning early this century, Initiated the process of totally eliminating TD which came to fruition with the advent of DMW. In their minds eye, they have come to the probably correct conclusion that the advocates of TD are of an age that fading in numbers. They believe that the new generation of cruisers that they desire to attract are not attracted to being forced to have dinner at the same time each and every night with strangers. One of the main objections to cruising that my daughters and their generation have to cruising is "regimentation" which exactly what TD represents, they are also horrified by the prospect of formal nights. In an attempt to remain competitive and to attract younger cruisers they instituted DMW.

I have had good luck with the app so far (knocking on wood) but, I have a curious question. In prior iterations of the app, I could see where arrival/departure groups could be selected. I no longer see that. Does it now appear when they are available? I am 119 days out, so I am still far from being in the zone for selection.

Our roll call for our scheduled cruise on the Enchanted in October is pretty much dead. Not a problem because Meet and Greets for our prior cruises have been a mixed bag at best. One that stands out was a repro cruise from San Juan to Brooklyn was pretty much a clique that sailed this cruise annually and did not welcome outsiders. The last one was a large gathering that had a good turnout of ship crew. Everyone sat there like a bump on a log and didn't interact with the crew or each other. My wife and I tried to be social but the replies were curt and uncomfortable.

I just made a reservation for Bistro Sur La Mer on my upcoming cruise on the Enchanted and the charges zeroed out at the end. The app should tell you that you have a dining credit when you make the reservation, if not, you will probably be charged.

I upgraded to Princess us on my upcoming cruise by calling Princess, retained same cabin and booking number. In this case it was covered by existing FCC. I believe the OP believes the drink package is the entire Princess Plus package.

I don't see the problem here. It was shipped out of Spokane not to Spokane.

They would still have to taxi/uber to the ferry. It would not cost much more to go straight to the cruise terminal through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel.
