  1. I was on Royal Clipper last year and we stopped at Kingstown and walked around but not much at the port and the city was not charming like so many other Caribbean Islands, we were there only a few hours and then we stopped at Bequia for the rest of the day, Bequia is my FAVORITE island and this was my second stop. You made a great choice to take an excursion to this beautiful place. You can walk to Princess Margaret beach arlong the boardwalk to the right of the dock and as you do you will pass all the bars, restaurants, etc along the tree lined road. Great beach bar/restaurant at the beach but also wonderful places along the waterfront. This is the only place I have purchased a tshirt in the last 5 years, you are fortunate to have chosen this spot and you will see why after being in Kingstown. Have a great time.
  2. Got back from Tahiti last month and had one evening with shower and rest of week was beautiful.
  3. Glad to see this, I like the smaller ships and now only cruise out of Jacksonville and Mobile which I can drive to as my main escape now is sailing ships with less than 200 passengers.
  4. From my experience February thru May are ideal times to visit the Caribbean, humidity and rain seems to start in June, I am going to BVI this February and really enjoy the weather as a chance to get away from winter, you will be fine.
  5. Will be on Star Flyer and visit St. Kitts February 20, 2020 and does anyone who has done this remember what time you are allowed off ship? Am looking at a snorkel excursion and it leaves at 9:00 AM and wonder if I can make it. Thanks.

    Virgin Cruises

Can't find out how many total passengers, shows 17 decks so I guess many thousands and after Windstar and Star Clippers not sure how I would adjust but willing to try to see how the experience compares.
  7. I took my first WindStar cruise in December 2017 when you offered no single supplement on some routes in the Caribbean. Since then I have not seen any other such offerings and wonder if this may become a possibility in the future?
  8. was on Wind Spirit last week and we stopped in Cook's Bay and not much there so hope you get to your destination.
  9. We were on Wind Spirit last week in 231 and is was quiet and we thought convenient to areas we liked to frequent, it was a little cool the first day and would not adjust on the thermostat but after we left port it seemed to even out and would love to be back.
  10. We had 1 Bailey's from our mini bar on Wind Spirit last week and it was priced at $7.71 on our bill.
  11. So is this new parking lot now open? Did it give more spaces or move?
  12. I agree there is little reviews or info when considering a Clipper trip and I was in the same "boat" before I decided to take my first cruise mainly based on YouTube videos and description of the ports and this was the easiest way to get to many of them plus they have many with no single supplement. I have been on 3 and another booked for February and find the fellow passengers to be friendly and active, and most have been sailing and have experience, staff has always been very friendly and I have really enjoyed the food. I am not a sailor but have enjoyed all my cruises and yes the ship is smaller and have yet to experience a full day of rain which will be difficult, I can only suggest that if you find the youtube videos interesting then join in and take a cruise, I believe your fears will prove unfounded.
  13. Wondering if you noticed if they sell any local Bahamian beer on Paradise Cay like Kalik or Sands? Know you enjoy a cold one and figure you would notice, thanks for the pictures and info will help for my January trip.
  14. thank you all for that quick response.
  15. Thanks that is the info I have been looking for.
  16. Never sailed with NCL and what is/are the smallest ship (s) in NCL fleet? I prefer smaller ships, thank you.
  17. Will be on Ecstasy in January and when you arrived at the port at 10:00AM did you have to wait to get into the parking lot? Seem to recall someone said they did not open until all the other vehicles have left. Always enjoy your reviews thanks.
  18. Thank you for your reply
  19. I have been "upgraded" to cabin 231 on Wind Spirit and looking at deck plan this is under the galley. Does anyone have experience with this location which is forward and on deck 2? Curious if we got upgraded or something else. Thanks.
  20. Wow, that is great news, hate to be in the Bahamas and not get a Kalik or Sands, this is the first I heard about this shop so will make it a stop for sure, should I go to the right off the tender to get there? Thanks for this info so much.
  21. Me and my friends always enjoyed the taste bar and would meet and enjoy a drink and the bites and a time to catch up with everyone. Really miss it.
  22. Doing a Windstar cruise and after have a day room at the Intercontinental Tahiti Resort, has anyone done this and can you get to your room after departure from ship or do you have to wait, any information will be appreciated.
  23. Following as we are on September 12, 2019 cruise and wonder the same thing and what night is deck BBQ and island lunch. You would think Windstar would have this information available to assist in planning.
  24. I purchased a two pin adapter and it worked great for phone and was a wonderful trip
  25. I can find plenty of info on wine on windstar but can anyone help with beer selection and prices on Star Pride inTahiti?
