  1. The first time we went on a cruisetour to Alaska it was the end of August, and the weather was fairly rainy and cold the entire time except when we went to Denali. Absolutely beautiful with a clear view of the mountain. Made my trip. The next time we cruised mid May and had gorgeous weather the entire time...it was even hot in Haines. You just never know. We prefer whichever ship leaves from SF!
  2. I hesitate to apply this to my currently booked cruise as it is to Antarctica in Jan 21. Don't know if the cruise will go...or if we will feel comfortable enough going...and if we do cancel, it takes so long to get anything back into your account. I opted not to book 2022 yet. Decided I wasn't comfortable booking anything else with them until I get the $$ back that they still owe me.
  3. I have a FCCs from a cancelled cruise, and an upcoming cruise booked for Jan 21. Princess has not applied the FCCs to the 2021 cruise, yet when I looked at booking something in 2022, the FCCs were automatically applied. Think that means my 2021 cruise is going nowhere?
  4. I did get the FCCs mid May...so would have expected the $ at that time too, but no.
  5. Cancelled our March 14th cruise. STILL no $ back. Initiated a CC dispute last week.
  6. Thank you again...I'll be calling them Monday morning.
  7. It was Chase...I guess I should have stayed on the phone! If you have their direct dispute number I would love it. Feeling very frustrated.
  8. Oh, and called my CC to dispute the charge on 5/14. Message on phone says to only call them if you have an emergency.... lost card/ stranded someplace, etc. So I emailed them...and still haven't heard back from them either.
  9. Yes. I cancelled on March 9 for a March 14 cruise. Received FCCs, but selected Option 2 and still haven't received my refund.
  10. Then I do need to call, as my FCC consisted only of my cruise fare. I too cancelled a couple of days prior to the mass cancellations. Glad to hear you got your reimbursement! I'm even more concerned since the FCC came a few days ago and nothing else has shown up.😟 and my FCD was not reinstated.
  11. I have read through some of these pages, but haven't seen what I'm looking for. Sorry if I missed something obvious. I chose option 2 for my cancelled March 14th cruise. I have received no $ back to my CC, but did get my FCC yesterday. This FCC did not include the $ I paid for my EZAir plane tix, nor did I get my FCD refunded back to me. Is this normal, or do I need to call Princess?
  12. I also got the email for a 3/14 cruise that I had cancelled a couple of days previous to their cancelling. I chose option 2. At least this is proof (beyond that one email that said they had received my choice), that I want my $$ back... Alternatively, if you would still like to receive a full refund (which also includes the standard future cruise credits shown above), you don’t need to do anything as this will be the default option.
  13. It was one year from the date of the credit...and you just have to book within a year...so you could book another flight even further out!
  14. Not sure about AA, but JetBlue (which was a nonrefundable ticket) allowed us to cancel, and while we didn't get $ back, we got a credit from them with a year to use it.
  15. Thanks...so hoping I didn't have to call Princess!
  16. We cancelled our Caribbean cruise on March 8th. Our return flight home on March 28th was booked through EZ Air. We got a message from American Airlines today telling us that one leg of this flight has been cancelled, and they are attempting to re-route us. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I call Princess or American? Sorry if this has already been covered...
  17. CFAR was the main reason for buying. I prefer to purchase other (better) medical insurance.
  18. Am I understanding this correctly...that I no longer need to add Princess CFAR insurance to my June 13th cruise...and that I can cancel the cruise up to 48 hrs ahead (just because I want to) and still get a FCC for what I've paid?
  19. I cancelled on Sunday as well, and I still haven't seen anything.
  20. Is that what it actually is?? this is what the insurance brochure says: Platinum Vacation Protection “Any Reason” Cruise Credits...................Up to 100% of the non-refundable prepaid cruise vacation cost Provided by Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours* In the event that you choose to cancel for a reason not authorized above or for a reason that is otherwise restricted, at any time up until departure, and you have purchased Cruise Vacation Protection, Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours will provide you a cruise credit equal to 75% (100% if Platinum Vacation Protection was purchased) of the non-refundable value of your cruise vacation prepaid to Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours, for your use toward a future cruise. This additional enhancement is offered exclusively by Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours as a special service to guests that purchase this passage contract Cancellation Fee Waiver Addendum. Certain restrictions on the use of these cruise credits (such as blackout periods) may apply. To be eligible for credits, notification of cancellation must be given to Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours prior to the ship’s departure. Once you’ve cancelled with Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours, please contact the Program Administrator at 1-877-846-8833 regarding cruise credits. So I assumed I WOULD get my 100% back as a cruise credit (minus the insurance premium) If this is incorrect I REALLY need to rethink this.
  21. In case it's the same for you...the movies are A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and Knives Out. Entertainers are Steve Caouette: Hilarious stand-up comedy and sound effects from a finalist for Princess Cruises 4th Annual "Entertainer of the Year" and Alex Ramon: "IMpossible" Magic and Illusions that will amaze and astound CD is Corey Moir.
  22. We're sailing March 14th and got the standard "Welcome from Your Cruise Director" with ...here are your movies...entertainers...and Medallion info.
  23. We will be on the Crown for the June 13th sailing. I looked back at her cruises up to that date (thank you for that idea). She will be in the Baltic before my cruise, and Europe before that...but her only stops in Italy are in the south...in fact her last Italian port will be on May 20th. Nevertheless, I’m still a bit nervous about the whole trip. At this point I think we will go ahead and make final payment, BUT add on Princess CFAR insurance and just wait it out. Fingers crossed.
