  1. Princess cancelled our March 8th cruise on March 8th and received the credit on my credit card on March 9th. They also refunded our future cruise certificate which were just purchased in September 2019. Only have 1 fare credited as FCC so far. Also received the credit card credit for excursions and pre-purchased alcohol.
  2. Marine Traffic shows the Caribbean Princess at Ocho Rios now. https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-78.6/centery:18.4/zoom:10
  3. Went through all my "cruise stuff" from our California Coastal, and I didn't save the form. Sorry!
  4. This is the website, but I don't know how you can get the flight times. We wanted to use it in September 2019, but our flight was too late. There was a form in our cabin with the airlines and times listed. We were on SWA at 6:15 and the flights on the form only went through 6 pm on SWA. Went and asked if those times were set in stone and they said "definitely yes"! https://www.portseattle.org/page/port-valet-enjoy-seattle-luggage-free#
  5. We carried on sodas in Barcelona to the Horizon in 2018.
  6. On Princess, you have to get special permission ahead of time (before the cruise) and I think there's a fee.
  7. I believe the free style machines are Coke . . . not Pepsi.
  8. Just took the survey I got and it was the same as Victory. . . about the medallion cruise features.
  9. I got one today as well. Didn't do the survey yet. I previously had one like this (couldn't tell you if it was the from the same email though) and it was regarding authors, book signings and cocktail parties with the authors during the cruise. I think the author was a female, but don't remember her name.
  10. For our Star Cruise, 9/22/19, we just paid $626 total, through Princess, for 2 nights for 2 at the Westin including transfers from the airport to the hotel and the hotel to the port. I also vote for a downtown location, as traffic was awful everywhere.
  11. We were on the Horizon inaugural and didn't see anything unfinished or still being worked on. This was a 13 day Mediterranean though, and not a TA. Was nervous at first, as they sent the ship back to Italy to repaint the hull but was docked in Barcelona when our plane arrived. Service in the Italian restaurant for lunch was iffy, but overall a very nice experience. We were the first to sleep in the bed!!
  12. Would definitely suggest a Princess tour if wanting to go to Paris. We were one of the last Princess tour buses returning late to the port because of an accident on the freeway. Heard we departed without 5 passengers who were on independent tours. It's such a great distance to Paris, that anything can happen. Good thing is, it's the last port, so you'd only have to find your way to Southampton. Wasn't passing up the chance to go to Paris!
  13. In September we had the Pub Lunch on the Star in the Crown Grill.
  14. We just managed ours from the ports last month. All the ports had a room with free WiFi. We did use the app.
  15. We embarked the Star in Seattle on 9/22/19. We didn't ask anyone and just went to the Portofino dining room. The hostess was a little sarcastic and said the menu was very limited for lunch. Had us look at the menu before seating us. Was a little surprised how few people were there.
  16. You'll be able to see the island from the bus but typically the HOHO bus doesn't include individual tours. We were just there September 25th on our Coastal Cruise. It was the last stop on our Princess tour and it included the Alcatraz tour. We were able to walk back to the port from there when we were finished. Many, many people there. Heard you can never purchase same day tickets for the Alcatraz tour.
  17. Sodas we found in London and Barcelona grocery stores were only sold individually: no 6, 8 or 12 packs. All the cruise port stores had empty coolers where the sodas should have been.
  18. We were on this cruise also in Aloha 631 and never saw these things of which you speak. I did use the rest rooms on 6, 7 and 14 and didn't have any issues. In fact, never saw any that were even closed for maintenance. Also, our AC was fine in San Fran. Didn't see jellyfish in Astoria, but did see a lot in Monterey. Guess it all comes down to location ... location ... location!
  19. Carnival hasn't sailed the British Isles since 2006. We were going to book a 2007 British Isles thru Carnival, but they cancelled them all. We ended sailing Princess instead. Last year, we were on the inaugural Horizon Mediterranean cruise. Everything was perfect! Whatever cruise line you pick, make sure you check Fly2Fun (Carnival), EZ air (Princess) etc. as the rates were definitely better than what I could book, plus, you have their guarantee to get you there. It seems like the ships Carnival are redoing in Europe are only doing the Mediterranean.
  20. We were always on the lower level for dinner. We did the Dr. Seuss breakfast and that was in the Reflection dining room.
  21. We were on the inaugural Horizon cruise last year with My Time dining. We had to check in on deck 5 by the JavaBlue Cafe and then go down to the Meridian restaurant on the 4th deck aft. The aft elevators and stairs were close by. We ate fairly early and most nights there was a longer line to check in on deck 5 then at the restaurant. They give you a paper with the time, table number and the number in your party. We had good service and in fact requested the same table for the rest of the cruise.
  22. We were on the Splendor in March in a 8N. Space was more than adequate for 2 people but our cruise was only 7 days. I thought the food was good; the steakhouse was EXCELLENT! Service was spot on. Activities on sea days were OK, but we spend a lot of time in the casino, and some activities might not suit different ages. LOVED the decor!! And we were on the Horizon inaugural last year and I think I prefer the Splendor; it makes you smile! Every square inch is decorated!
  23. We used Fly2Fun last year from PHX to Barcelona for the Horizon inaugural cruise. Although we had a 5 hour layover at JFK, round trip was $681 per person on Delta. I couldn't beat that! We have used Princess Air previously to London and was able to also book hotel, Carnival no longer offers that and it was difficult to choose a hotel in Barcelona. Everything worked perfectly. We also booked Carnival transport from the ship to Barcelona airport and we were there 2 hours before the ticket counters even opened.
