The Encore's first Alaskan cruise of the season out of Seattle will be this Sunday April 28th. When people start posting Freestyle Dailies, you will have a better idea events and their times.

Eating outside at Ocean Blue can be very chilly. The movement of the ship creates its' own breeze and it can be very cold in the outside dining venues not just Ocean Blue.

Most if not all restaurants have tables for two people. As a solo passenger, I eat the majority of my meals at table meant for two people. No problem at all. Relax and enjoy your cruise.

A large number of cruise ship itineraries are set several years in advance of your specific cruise. Lots of things can occur in between. Right now a number of ports, communities and countries are setting limits as to the number of cruise ships and passengers can be in a particular port at a particular time. No way to know in advance. With some of the newer NCL ships, the lifeboats can not be used as tenders either. Just a current fact of life.

I sail as a solo passenger. Rarely do I make dining reservations. If you go shortly before the restaurant opens usually you can be seated rather quickly. Most if not all the restaurants have tables for just two people. Enjoy your cruise and your time together.

One of the people posting cruise news stories reported on it a few weeks ago. Today a city in Turkey and a very popular city (very long name) in Iceland. Sandroni Greece has been added to the list as well as Sitka and Juneau Alaska. The list seems to get longer and longer.

Newport along with a number of ports of call around the world are beginning to limit the number of cruise ships that can be docked at one time. Very much a recurring theme at the moment.

How many ships are docking or tendering that particular day? Many ports of call seem to be limiting the number of cruise ships and their passengers on a day by day basis.

Sunday of Labor Day weekend-- huge community events and too many cruise ships and passengers probably. One of many communities trying to reduce the number of cruise ships and their passengers.

The only times you really see passengers dressed formally (and then only a few) Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve. A couple of restaurants require long pants, collared shirts and closed toed shoes for gentlemen. Relax and enjoy this special time with your family. Kids seem to grow up very quickly. Where does time go? Read your Freestyle Daily each day and plan as much or as little as you wish.

Chief, A few weeks ago there was a story and pictures of her posted on another social media website. Picture with her was David Herrera, Harry Sommers other Senior Corporate Officials. General Manager Steven Jacobsen was on vacation at the time.

I was thinking the same thing: @chengkp75 would know or would have a very educated guess. I am not sure about this particular cruise, but on of the Chief Engineers on the Pride is lady. There was a story on a different website posted about her.

A note for you: If my friend Manoel D'Silva is onboard as the Restaurant Manager, he is celebrating 26 years with NCL.

As I have said before, RIGHT NOW the Port of Seattle only has ONE cruise ship through this weekend. Beginning next there will be cruise ships every Saturday and Sunday (2 or 3) plus several during the week. With ONE cruise ship might not be cost effective to run the Valet Program (remember the Port Valet Program is run with taxpayer money).
