More please!

We have been assigned late dining (boo hoo, too late) and we are on the waiting list for Anytime dining. On all other cruises the Maitre 'D was available the first day, in the dining room, for anyone needing to request a change to their dining assignment. Is that true on Carnival? Specifically we will be on the Breeze 2/13. Thanks. Marilyn

Question. Unless you were getting a discount or miles for purchasing the gift card, why wouldn't you just go online to the funshops and load cruise cash onto your shipboard account. That way you do not have to go buy the card or go stand in line at Guest Services to have it put on your account? I do realize the cruise cash is not refundable if not left over but I just would not purchase too much of it. Seems easier to me. Am I missing something? Marilyn

Is your credit card charged at the time you make the reservation or at the time you actually eat in the restaurant?

If I make a reservation before the cruise, for one of the specialty restaurants, will my credit card be charged right away? Or will I not be charged until we actually eat in the restaurant? Thx. Marilyn

Ouch! Sorry about that embark experience! Thanks for giving us this review. Marilyn

Comparison review please! Where will we find it? On the Celebrity board or on the Princess board? Marilyn

Bumping this with a question. What is the earliest flight we could comfortably book on day of disembarkation? Marilyn

Curious why you discount Delta. Living in Fla it comes up all the time. Marilyn

Thank you everyone for your great advice. I am looking at all options and I will let you know what I come up with. Marilyn

We are flexible and would consider orlando or Miami if it would be financially worthwhile. We expect to depart June29th to get to Ams the day before the cruise which leaves on the first of July. Cruise returns on the thirteenth and our first choice would be to return that day.
I guess what I am wondering is, does anyone know if there is a day of the week when fares are better...or time of day? I seem to remember in years past that airlines put out their sale fares on Tues evening or something like that. Or maybe that is an urban myth? Marilyn

Wow, just read this string and very interesting. Am also struggling with the cost of Tampa to Amsterdam and back this June. In just a few days of looking I have seen airfare go from the 1500 region to the 1700 region. I will look into several of the suggestions you have all made and if anyone has any other advice, bring it on! Marilyn

Thanks LondonTowner! I am going to email them this weekend. Marilyn

May I ask who you did the private tour with? Marilyn

We will have two days in St. Petersburg in July 2016. Have read great reviews of many tour operators but have not seen any tours specifically stating they are appropriate for someone with mobility issues. My husband can walk but needs to rest periodically and does not do stairs well. I would like to save the expense of having to do a private tour, if possible. Does anyone know of a company that does standard tours that address mobility issues? Thanks for your help. Marilyn

Looking forward to more! We are doing the 6B later in August and looking forward to reading more of your review. Marilyn

Mike thanks for the prompt reply and great info! Marilyn

Hi Mike. There area couple of places in our 6B tour where the description says you have free time and can book an optional excursion with the tour director. For instance it states we have a free afternoon in Fairbanks and also Anchorage. Did you have this and did you book anything? If so I would love to know what was available and what you did. Also did you do the Tundra Wilderness tour and did you enjoy it? And finally, what did you do with your free evening in Seward, if you had one? Thanks for all you help. Marilyn

I would love to hear your review of the land tour portion of your trip. We will be on the southbound version later in August. Marilyn

Thank you, thank you! Keep it coming. Marilyn

What? That's it? More, more please! Marilyn

Concierge Class Embarcation Luncheon
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
We are booked in CC but will be sailing with another couple that are in a suite. Is the lunch for CC and above? Or do the suite folks have their own lunch in Luminae? I didn't think they did lunch in that venue. For that matter, what about Aqua Class?
