  1. I think since it's a 22 day trans-pac there will not be any of the traditional Carnival 3 day cruise party types on board, they have a new passenger code of conduct just in case. Lots of sea days between Tahiti and Hawaii and then Hawaii to Seattle
  2. Well after I take my next 3 HAL cruises. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Free Balcony on a 22 day trans-pac from Brisbane to Seattle in April/May 2023. Just had to pay taxes an fees. They gave me matching casino status with Caesars rewards. So I'm a Very Import Fun Person with them even though I have never cruised on them. It's the Luminoso which was a Costa ship. So I'm sure it won't be the typical Carnival vibe given that it a very long duration cruise for that line. Happy Sailing to all, no mater what cruise line makes you the best offer. -Paul
  3. Hi- I'm a 4 star mariner on HAL and going on my first Carnival cruise in April, the 22 day Trans-Pacific from Brisbane to Seattle. HAL's dress code has relaxed quite a bit on "Gala" nights men only need slacks and a colored shirt. No jackets or ties required and it is only enforced in the MDR, and specialty restaurants. What is the expectation on a Carnival "Elegant?" night or whatever they call it. Thanks, Paul
  4. Hi- Just booked my first Carnival cruise with an incredibly VIFP casino offer. Now I need Premium Economy airfare to Brisbane, AU. When I use the flight search engine Economy is the only class option. When I look for HAL cruise I get choices for all classes; Economy, Premium Economy. Business and First. It's the same search engine since it's all under the CCL umbrella. Thanks, Paul
  5. Just booked a Casino offer and scored a Balcony for taxes and Fees! Looking forward to crossing the pacific since it not something most land lubbers do. I'm 4 star on HAL but this will be my first Carnival. Also excited about the ship, ex Costa now Carnival and just out of dry dock. Should be fun and tie me kangaroo down mate! -Paul
  6. Roslyn is now a major Cat. 3 and is expecting to come ashore as a Cat. 3 just north of Puerto Vallarta. Remember Hurricane season doesn't end until November 30.(officially)
  7. I use to be an early booker, but I've learned my lesson and unless it's a casino offer or Private Sale price, I'm much more willing to wait and see what prices do. The parent company is in serious debt and will do anything to fill cabins and increase operating revenue including deep discounts on Holiday cruises. Now if they would only offer me a $200 Ocean View room for a World Cruise. Happy Saturday, Paul
  8. I got 2 offers yesterday, one via email and one in snail mail! the Snail Mail one including offers for my wife. If this is how they plan to payoff their massive corporate debt, I'm all for it! -Paul
  9. Of the Big 3: CCL, NCL and RCL which is most likely to enter bankruptcy first when this long awaited recession starts? I'm assuming they all have the protections of the "soft" US. corporate bankruptcy laws which allow them to keep operating while settling with debt holders. Hmm.. starting to think what that HAL "Have it All Bankruptcy protection" sale will include? -Paul
  10. You will have a dedicated area of the MDR, 1 additional entrée option and a special check-in line at the M' atre D station. I think Club Orange dining is only worth it on Pinnacle Class ships because it has it's own area and includes breakfast.
  11. I just go this today along with $250 free play and all the usually Casino offer perks HAL_HEP2247CO_ADAGrid_US_FP2.pdf
  12. I had the 2nd drink for a buck on all 3 of my Fall 2021 "Covid-19" cruises.
  13. they use to be buy one, second drink $1. And that was not very long ago. -Paul
  14. Thanks everyone, they seem to have Heineken 0.0 on every ship.
  15. I know they have a nice mocktail menu, but do they also carry non-alcoholic beer? I'm on a new med and it doesn't mix with alcohol and I have a drink package on my next 3 cruises. Thanks, Paul
  16. I think they are for 4 & 5 star mariners. I really want to do the North Pacific crossing in April 2023 but doubt the wife will let me....but If I tell her it's not a casino deal....
  17. The $200 pp sounds like a casino special.
  18. Mine are back and for $45 per day. Gonna write my PCC to see if we can use our FCC's for our 13 day Indonesian Discovery in February. I think for a longer cruise it's a better deal since you get 2 shore Ex credits and Surf Wi-fi for all those days. Check your bookings for the offer, Paul
  19. Yea I guess if I call my PCC she could get it.
  20. I no longer see the offer on my existing cruises to add "Have it All" for either $45 or $50 per day.
  21. I'm gonna wait until it goes to $1.06 before I buy my 100 shares
  22. HAL still holding it's own with Conde Nast ratings, this is from 2021, which was the Covid year https://www.cntraveller.com/gallery/best-cruise-lines-in-the-world-2021 I'm sure nobody who is a premium line regular on any line is happy with service since they have returned to cruising
  23. Yes, look at the S&P and Dow over the last 2 years in a chart. Apple, Amazon, FB all have lost value.
  24. We were charged for a broken mirror once, that we did not break in a hotel room where we are loyal customers of the brand. After no resolution via my CC company I got someone in the Resort's accounting department and they took care of it.
