  1. Is this something for us to keep, or does it belong in the cabin?
  2. I love this itinerary! I hope you have a wonderful time! I did a live last year for this exact itinerary and ship if you're looking for ideas. Have a great cruise!
  3. Deleted...Answered the wrong question. Sorry, I'm not sure about non Haven suite dining on the Prima.
  4. We had dinner with the Hotel Director on our honeymoon cruise many years back. Hugo was one of our favorites! A terrific dinner with two other couples where we chatted about a lot of the changes that were taking place back then.
  5. We are looking to visit West Bay for the day...Are there any water taxi services that go round trip at or near Coxen Hole?
  6. I'm very interested in this but there is little info on how to do this. We are sailing on Oceania to Havest Caye next year and want to do this. Where is the ferry? How can we get tickets? Thanks in advance!
  7. Looking at booking a large group for a family cruise for the Norwegian Joy - All sorts of ages involved - Can anyone share the weight and height requirements/limits for those interested in enjoying the slides and the race carts? Thank you!
  8. Be careful. The T&C's state entire booking needs to be paid with eligible AMEX card.
  9. Yes. And the code needs to be applied by your TA to the booking as well.
  10. Yes it works with any booking on any ship as long as your TA applies the code at the time of booking. You get a piece of paper in the cabin the first day saying free dinner for two at Le Bistro.
  11. This photo is from week of March 12th sailing. Ask! At worse, they'll say no.
  12. Good news! Weighed myself just now...In the ten days since we got off the cruise ship, I've lost 5.4 lbs! I'm now back on track where I was with my weight loss journey when we started this trip! Hard work pays off! Let's see where I end up before our next cruise! Thanks again for following along!
  13. Years ago they used too. Then they did a promo where you would get a free bottle of wine if you did specialty dining on the first night. To my knowledge they don't offer any discounts or free bottles of wine any longer with dining in a specialty on the first night.
  14. Well, there's this...But I messed up the recording and it's sideways...I blame the beverage package...😄 20230313_214836.mp4
  15. Sunset...Sorry for all the ambient notice in the background. 20230313_185507.mp4
  16. Prom! With the Syd Norman's Pour House Band! One of the many songs they sang... 20230318_213628.mp4
  17. A few videos from our cruise...Posting these late. Internet wasn't quite good enough for these to be uploaded on the islands or the ship. Birthday celebration for another cruiser at Maya Chan...Things like this are why we love them! 20230314_170735.mp4
  18. Pretty much. We've tried to eliminate the fattening foods and focused on keeping our intake under 1500 calories a day. Lots of protein and water. As the weight started coming off, more moving around and keeping from sitting all day helped more weight come off. Still a long journey left for both of us, but the DW and I are in it for the long haul!
  19. Didn't think I was whining when I shared my observation about the courtyard. Not sure why you have to use hateful language either. 🤔 Your grandsons were great. I enjoyed watching your son or son in law explaining to one of them how to play Sudoku in the Haven lounge early on in the cruise. I hope everyone got home safely!
  20. My final post... We had a wonderful time in New Orleans and on the Norwegian Breakaway! There were a few hiccups, like the dreaded mustering that was required. However, it appears this is going back to the favored e-mustering next month...Perhaps it was my review that drove this to change? 🤣🤣🤣 We enjoyed our cabin the Haven despite it being overwhelmed with kids in the courtyard pool and tubs nearly everyday, all day. The Haven bartenders and restaurant staff were wonderful all week. Omar, our concierge was fantastic. He helped us get priority disembarkation when we left ship for Costa Maya and on the final day. Great perk! He also got us in early to the Syd Norman Pour House Band shows all week...Thank you Omar! Our steward, Ludwig was wonderful. He greeted us with a smile several times a day and always made us feel welcome. He helped us get extra pillows and made the bed to our specifications...No comforter, two topsheets folded one on each side. The bathroom was always spotless! Our butler was MIA most of the cruise. Despite meeting him briefly in the late evening on the first night, until the last 2 days of our trip, we wouldn't have known who he was if we passed him somewhere. I'm sure he was very busy with other cabins, and his assistance at the end of our trip was appreciated, but his presence or lack thereof really did not have any impact on our sailing. We purchased the Thermal Spa Passes for the first time on this sailing - it won't be our last! The spa was a wonderful reprieve from the overrun courtyard and gave us the chance to relax and enjoy our time. We upgraded our Free at Sea perks to the Free at Sea Plus package. The additional specialty dinners, the unlimited wifi, drinks from Starbucks and at the bars being covered made the package worth it to us. Previously we enjoyed sailings with the FAS+ package and getting decent wine bottles included. This is largely gone, however we still receive 40% off bottles, so it can be worthwhile to check out the package for those savings. We enjoyed the specialty restaurants, particularly Ocean Blue, Le Bistro and Cagney's. I've never been a fish eater, and I enjoyed eating seafood all week. The servers in these restaurants were all fantastic and very helpful. The pooch is very happy to be home and is receiving lots of cuddles and belly rubs. Don't forget the treats! I stood on a scale this morning and much to my surprise, only gained 5 lbs while away and off my diet! I expected much worse. I will be working hard between now and our next sailing to keep losing as much weight as I can - This trip was eye opening for me...Being able to buckle the seat belt on the plane without a belt extension...Being able to walk around New Orleans and the ship as much as I did all week without stabbing back pain and being completely out of breath and exhausted...What an incredible difference! Lastly, I'd like to thank each and every one of you all for reading and following my live review. It's been a pleasure and I hope everyone enjoyed tagging along. Until the next time...
  21. Unfortunately I think there is a lot of confusion with the packages. When we ordered Veuve Clicquot at Le Bistro, it wasn't charged for, so it may be covered despite being over $15 a glass. Just doesn't make any sense.
