  1. Not aware of anything from the UK sailings… we were on the first, and stayed up to date during the season. Would be cool if they do introduce it though, it’s something I’m surprised hasn’t been done on a ship yet…
  2. The Galley, The Wake and Razzle Dazzle were all options on our disembarkation day - we were pleasantly surprised!
  3. Be careful with that Johnnie Walker! We noticed that it was the one bottle on our mini bar that we hadn’t seen listed on the official list from Virgin… so I checked on Rockstar chat and they told us it indeed wasn’t part of the spirit package but was chargeable at $65!
  4. Remember, to date they’d be operating under restrictions, it’s sailings from 21st June when the other cruise lines have been overselling, having assumed the restrictions would’ve been lifted…
  5. I’ve heard Virgin haven’t oversold, they’ve taken a more cautious approach but may intend to increase capacity only after there’s confirmation of restrictions lifting.
  6. Been reading MSC, Royal Caribbean and P&O have all oversold their summer UK cruises with the expectation of restrictions easing and are now having to start cancelling some passengers - very disappointing to hear! Waiting to see whether any other cruise lines have done the same, as we’re not currently impacted by any of these, but could well be if all cruise lines have followed suit!
  7. Yep, all logged in, even just uninstalled the app and tried again just to make sure I wasn’t missing something… but still getting stuck at this point
  8. I’m greyed out for check in still, have you been able to access this? We’re due to sail next month on one of the UK Summer Soirées…
  9. Just a quick heads up, the NHS app has now been updated with an easy way to evidence your COVID vaccination status.
  10. Glad to know it’s not just me, but frustrating it’s not been fixed yet! Is it the complimentary lanyard you’ve been able to add multiples of for your wife, or just the paid for inserts? I’ve not been able to find a way to increase the complimentary lanyard on my husbands part of the order, as that could be a workaround if it doesn’t get fixed… Interesting that it’s those of us managing the checklist / organising the medallion order that seem to be having the issue for ourselves, but able to order for others… I wonder if my husband were to log in and try to pick up where I’ve left off from his app whether he’d find he’s able to get the option for me? I suspect not, but might give it a try!
  11. Thanks for the advice. Weirdly I can select a complimentary lanyard for my husband, but don’t get the option to add one myself…
  12. Is $15 shipping and handling standard on the medallion accessories, even when you can only pick them up at the port? (UK Seacation) Was planning to order a couple of sport bands at $10 each, but then surprised to see the final amount almost double!
  13. I think it's slightly more complicated than that as, for example, Princess state "When travelling with us, insurance must include medical and repatriation cover of £2 million minimum that includes cover for emergency evacuations and medical expenses related to Covid-19."
  14. I think the “official” maiden is when they go out of Miami, so unfortunately don’t think there’ll be any special recognition… but still cool to be on the first paying passengers sailing!
  15. Ah, I get it now... same hotel does both ports! The ‘Southampton’ in the title threw me! I’m still struggling to price it up though, can’t find the cruise parking rate... can anyone help? Don’t know if I’m just doing something wrong! It’s the night of the 5th August I’m looking for...
  16. Thanks, looks like they just do Southampton though, not Portsmouth...
  17. Does anyone know whether there are any Portsmouth hotels that do cruise parking? Or is it best to book port parking (is there just one?) and hotel separately?
  18. Just spotted this article... https://www.porthole.com/florida-legislature-looks-to-void-key-west-cruise-ship-ban/?fbclid=IwAR0LeaxDav-jTFBzH0jWX8vlAcDRX6n1K0ddeoD7Yc2tuqxJkSQFWa3XVVg
  19. Wow! So I know cruising isn’t really happening right now anyway... but virtually all cruise lines are now going to have to change their Key West itineraries with immediate effect?
  20. Apologies you’re right, I’ve got a couple of refunds I’m chasing, one with flight only, one with package, and I got the two mixed up! So yeah, I might just be patient and wait it out to get the full perks of credit and refund... thanks for the reply!
  21. If anyone has been following the saga of Virgin Holidays, they have a lot of frustrated customers, and they continue to move the goalposts for receiving refunds, now saying 120 days, but continuing to employ various delay tactics as that time approaches. Chargebacks with banks are being recommended, given this considerably breaches the law that holiday packages should be refunded within 7 days. I’ve been considering this, but as we are due a future cruise credit from Virgin Voyages, in addition to the cash refund, I’m assuming this would be in jeopardy if the refund was achieved via a chargeback rather than going through Virgin’s own refund process... does anyone have any experience with this?
