  1. If you have an iPad, download the Roku App using your profile, I am sure it will work on an Android and you will mirror the apps that you have on your home page on Roku and then you can watch them, from Netflix, HBO, Roku Channel, Freevee, Apple, Prime, Tubi, etc.
  2. School starts in some parts of the U.S. in August, and parents have no problem taking kids out of school to go on vacation when they get "their time off". Also, many parents homeschool their kids then ever before, which also allows then flexibility as to when they "teach" them.
  3. My TA sent me this link since one of my cruise shore excursion was full and found what I wanted. Also, they limit the amount of people, hopefully you find something on the site to your liking. https://www.shoreexcursionsgroup.com
  4. You have to be pretty dumb to think that no one is watching. Eyes in the skies are everywhere on the ships.
  5. Starlink....coming soon to a cruise ship near you.Royal Caribbean Group Starlink Announcement Fantastic News!
  6. April 23rd is the last cruise out of Barbados heading to Miami. On April 29th it is on a transatlantic to Limassol, Cyprus for 17 days,
  7. Here's the link to all C& benefits: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/crown-and-anchor-society-benefit-grid.pdf
  8. I just read that they have already modified Celebrity's sailings to the Baltic , i.e., Russia (removing them with other ports) for 2023. They have sent out emails alerting people. Yeah, don't count on going there next year.
  9. Just ask for a tray in the Windjammer from one of the officers there as previously stated. I saw a woman with a tray on the Odyssey taking food back to her room, they even provided her with that cover (don't know the exact term) to put over her plates.
  10. I think you can go to Guess Services and have them put a limit on a minor's card. You can also set it up for a daily limit as well.
  11. Honestly, that price is cheap, $142 a day, try getting a hotel room cheaper than $2,000 for 14 days. Your meals, drinks and wifi included???? If you stay in Florida for 14 days plus city and state taxes or any Caribbean island, you would be paying through the nose. Even all inclusive resorts will charge you more than this. Also, you can opt out of the drinks, wifi and gratuity in your price and pay separately,
  12. So, it means they direct or take control? The picture I saw didn't look that bad, in my opinion.
  13. This Twitter page from Port Authority of Jamaica states that they take control in all of their ports.
  14. This is what the RC Blog posted as compensation : Royal Caribbean will reimburse passengers for non-refundable, pre-purchased transportation change fees incurred (such as flight, train ticket, or rental car). If they stay on Odyssey: up to $300 USD per guest for Domestic changes, or up to $500 USD per guest for International changes. If they pick another sailing: up to $200 USD per guest for Domestic changes, or up to $400 USD per guest for International changes.
  15. Every aspect of the travel industry is being hit due to demands in the industry. https://www.travelweekly.com/Travel-News/Travel-Agent-Issues/Suppliers-rush-to-staff-up-train-as-ire-builds-on-call-wait-times I read this last week that the hired 500 - 600 people from a hiring fair in Gambia for all services from cooks to room attendants and still look to hire hundreds more. https://crew-center.com/royal-caribbean-hires-600-gambian-crew Also they are looking at hiring from Barbados too. Maybe many who once were employed just decided they didn't want to work for the industry again once their contract expired. Since the new hires will need to get the required vaccination, with period of at least two shots (just a guess) by the late summer they will be ready to be deployed on their ships.
  16. October, just after the last European sailing and before it starts the World Cruise.
  17. Dude, everyone who work is doing a service. No matter the job, it's a service for someone.
  18. Everything is a service. He's still blessed to be able to cruise. There are billions who can not travel, count your blessing.
  19. I am not suggesting it, there are European countries that do not require their citizens to get tested to come back home. I am sure if they felt that they weren't well, they would use a mask. You have no idea right now flying on a plane who is positive because they don't have to wear a mask. You need to take responsibility to protect yourself now.
  20. Umm, I was just talking about powdered eggs are real eggs. I have no cue what they use, it sometimes looks like a huge vat of butter if it's not chopped up or stirred up.
  21. Aww, powdered eggs are made from real eggs. It's a long process to get them to become powdered. Food is everyone's issue, you'll never please everyone. You should go to all the stations and pick the best looking one to get. Or better yet, why didn't you go to the station and have them prepare you an omelet or a hard fried or easy over one? Every cruise line is having trouble getting help, it's not just Royal. Many cruise lines are trying (like Royal) to go to other places to hire and once that's done, they have get them trained for duty on ships. It's going to take time because not everyone can speak English, since it's the most communicated language on cruise lines and you need to have some patience. Try standing in line at Disney or Universal or pay through the nose to get on those rides first. Pack your patience and now, you need to pack your understanding too. I had no problems last month on Explorer (except loud talking Puerto Ricans in hot tub in the Solarium, but that's expected there) jmo, you don't realize how blessed you are to be able to go on a cruise or even travel.
  22. Ahh, the problem is that the US requires you to test negative to come back, where a lot of other countries have dropped this as a requirement. Many in the travel industry has been pressuring The CDC to drop this. Peter Greenberg was on CBS News yesterday and mentioned that people really need to get the proper travel insurance. https://www.cbsnews.com/video/what-to-know-about-summer-travel-protection-amid-covid-cancellations/#x
  23. I believe the Serenade will go into a complete dry dock after the October 13th Cruise in Spain (on or a day after October 21st) before it goes on their World Cruise in December, from what I read.
  24. It's fine, it's somewhat smaller than the new ships sailing, which is why I said the capsule doors could use an upgrade. The best place to get wifi on the ship will be the Solarium and the Windjammer in my opinion, unless the rooms have routers in them just as the Odyssey, which I had no problems with. The ship will not have 5G, so your expectations may vary on the weather and how many are on the system at any given time.
