  1. Although I am in the minority and actually like Brussels, from a cruise that docked in Zeebrugge, I would definitely go to Bruges It is a beautiful, small, and very easy to see on the visit from the cruise. One of our favorite ports to explore on our own.

Well we got our agent to book us on the white horses azam evening too (just in case) and both were showing as booked events on Monday - just checked again today and now the white horses evening has disappeared but we are still listed on the Choir in tito square.

Customer services had no idea what was happening

Interesting. I tried to add the white horses evening, and was unable to. However, it magically showed up on my reservation, as well as the choir in Tito Square. After reading your post, I decided to check my reservation, and it is now only showing the evening with the white horses!

Thanks I will.  Infact just did a google by putting in Koper Vienesse Waltz white horses and search found an Azamara connect pdf with all Azmazing evening listed for all four ships

The only one listed for July at that port was the V.Waltz White horses so does look like they have dropped the Choir

That’s good to know, thanks. I guess I will now book that one! Also, one of the things I was thinking of possibly doing in Koper was visiting the Lippizaner horses, so I’ll probably just pass on that during the day now.

  4. We’re on the Best of the Med cruise on Pursuit this July. For a while, there has been an AzAmazing evening on the schedule for our night in Koper, “Choir Perfomance at Tito Square.”. I signed up for this a while ago. Today while looking at shore excursions, I noticed there is a different AzAmazing evening scheduled at the same time in addition (“Viennese Waltz and White Horses.”) Anyone ever have this happen where there were 2 different events?

Thank you.  Did it take them a long time to respond?  I wrote to them 4 days ago and haven't gotten a response yet.  It was the weekend, but I am trying to get everything organized, including my hotel.

I booked the tour online on their site, I received a confirmation pretty quickly.

  6. I have not personally taken a tour by them yet, however we are booked for one in July. My niece took a tour with them in September (small group) and said it was a great tour. The tour we’re taking (same one my niece took) is Barcelona Sagrada Familia and Montserrat Small group tour.

  7. After you book the excursion on line, make sure you click save. Then you need to phone Azamara (I believe within 48 hours of booking) if you want to apply your OBC to pay for the excursion, or it will be cancelled. Some people have reported lately that they have a button above excursions which allows you to pay with OBC online, however that hasn’t shown up on my account. When I called to pay with the OBC, it was handled very quickly, and they sent me an updated confirmation.

  8. Interesting, the “Book shore excursions and pay using OBC” online does not show as an option on my upcoming cruise, and I do have OBC available. I have already used some of my OBC to pay for excursions by calling. I also did not get that email.

  9. As others have mentioned, Visby is easy to do on your own. Nice little medieval town. Many interesting ruins of ancient churches. Had a nice drink and snack sitting in one of the town squares.

in Ronne (Bornholm), the town is a very short walk from the ship. It’s a pretty little town, but not much in it. We took a cruise line tour that took us around the island, which was really nice. We visited one of the interesting round churches, stopped at a beautiful beach, visited a fishing village, and stopped in another small town (sorry, don’t remember the name) where there were a lot of shops that did glass blowing, and a lot of small cafes. I don’t think it would be easy to do all that without a tour.

Enjoy your cruise, sounds like a lot of wonderful ports.

  10. In checking out shore excursions for my Mediterranean cruise this summer, I was surprised at how much some of the non Azamara options I was looking at were. In many cases, they were very similar price to the Azamara ones. I think in general excursions have gotten pricey. Luckily, several of the ports we just plan on doing on our own.
