@laurieb I was able to book a transfer to Venice- Tronchetto for my cruise that ends in Chioggia in July. I did it in “manage my reservation “, there is an item titled “transfer requests “. As previous poster stated, I paid $26.95/person.

I have not personally taken a tour by them yet, however we are booked for one in July. My niece took a tour with them in September (small group) and said it was a great tour. The tour we’re taking (same one my niece took) is Barcelona Sagrada Familia and Montserrat Small group tour.

We really enjoy Neuhaus and Leonidas, but truly every one we stopped at was delicious!

Shore Excursions Do You Get A Confirmation Email?
Mrs.Dukes replied to cruisingaussies's topic in Azamara
After you book the excursion on line, make sure you click save. Then you need to phone Azamara (I believe within 48 hours of booking) if you want to apply your OBC to pay for the excursion, or it will be cancelled. Some people have reported lately that they have a button above excursions which allows you to pay with OBC online, however that hasn’t shown up on my account. When I called to pay with the OBC, it was handled very quickly, and they sent me an updated confirmation. -
Sounds like it will be an amazing trip. Wishing you safe travels, and a wonderful cruise. Looking forward following along.

Interesting, the “Book shore excursions and pay using OBC” online does not show as an option on my upcoming cruise, and I do have OBC available. I have already used some of my OBC to pay for excursions by calling. I also did not get that email.

A cruise from Singapore 🇸🇬
Mrs.Dukes replied to little britain's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Glad you made it to Singapore safely. Enjoy the rest of your trip! -
As others have mentioned, Visby is easy to do on your own. Nice little medieval town. Many interesting ruins of ancient churches. Had a nice drink and snack sitting in one of the town squares. in Ronne (Bornholm), the town is a very short walk from the ship. It’s a pretty little town, but not much in it. We took a cruise line tour that took us around the island, which was really nice. We visited one of the interesting round churches, stopped at a beautiful beach, visited a fishing village, and stopped in another small town (sorry, don’t remember the name) where there were a lot of shops that did glass blowing, and a lot of small cafes. I don’t think it would be easy to do all that without a tour. Enjoy your cruise, sounds like a lot of wonderful ports.

In checking out shore excursions for my Mediterranean cruise this summer, I was surprised at how much some of the non Azamara options I was looking at were. In many cases, they were very similar price to the Azamara ones. I think in general excursions have gotten pricey. Luckily, several of the ports we just plan on doing on our own.

We visited Bornholm on a cruise in 2022. We had an excursion from the cruise line that we enjoyed. Basically did a tour of the island. Visited a few of the round churches. Stopped at a beautiful beach, visited a fishing village. Also stopped in a town (don’t remember the name) where they did glass blowing. We had time before our excursion so we walked around the town of Ronne where the ship docked. Pretty town, we visited one of the churches and some of the shops.

LIVE!!! ICON OF THE SEAS INAUGURAL
Mrs.Dukes replied to cruisinghawg's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Thank you all for this fabulous cruise report. Really enjoyed following along. -
I was also going to say the same thing. We recently had a post cruise flight scheduled that was changed by Delta. The new flight time was earlier than we wanted. We called, and were easily able to change to a later flight. Hope you’re able to work this out.

I understand your frustration. However, just because you never had a problem with this agency in the past, doesn’t mean that you couldn’t have a problem with them now. Mistakes happen unfortunately. You need to deal with the agency to straighten things out, and get to the bottom of the discrepancy, and find out exactly where the error was made.

Sorry you got sick. Hope you feel better quickly.

We finish our cruise in July in Chioggia. We’re taking the Azamara transfer to Tronchetto also.

Wishing you a wonderful trip. Sounds like it should be an amazing experience!

Too soon to book air for a June international flight?
Mrs.Dukes replied to SunnyNy's topic in Cruise Air
I don’t think it’s too early to book. I just booked flights for our cruise in July leaving from Barcelona. I’ve been tracking the prices since we booked the cruise, and they recently came down a bit, so we booked. Cruise does end in Chioggia (Venice), and we are flying home from Milan because it was $500 cheaper a person, we can take the train from Venice to Milan fairly cheaply, and gives us an opportunity to visit another city.
