  1. Thank you for letting me follow along. Love your "live"s and happy anniversary to you and Lisa. As a native NYer I've never made it to Peter Luger's you found the best steakhouse maybe in the US... Have a wonderful cruise: your reviews are our "aspirational" way to cruise!!
  2. One thing not mentioned is that you can bring two bottles of wine per adult with you in cabin. Bring your favorite from home, and your waiter can serve you. Or use a "portable bar" aka stanley cup or other if you want to bring a drink from your cabin elsewhere on ship.
  3. What about Overlook? Kind of a souped up Solarium, only w/out a pool...
  4. Hi. We got our emerald pin a year or two ago on Wonder. Are they definitely not handing out?
  5. Hope this extends past the inaugural season since we are not on until next March! Maybe need to email Royal about that one😜
  6. I think that is Nicolas Cage's house... doesn't look like he's been there for a while
  7. Wow we definitely need a tutorial on the slots. Every time I try I lose $50 in the first five minutes and quit...
  8. On this itinerary for our Icon trip. For someone who has never been to St. Kitts, what would you recommend for two 55+ and three 18 yo's for a St. Kitts excursion? thank you
  9. omg she is so sweet. She'll be full grown when we get on icon next spring break!
  10. That balcony looks huge! Seems though that they are a bit darker bc of overhang. Wonder if the corner ones or the sunset suites are the same... thx
  11. Hi, for those of you that sailed on Icon in an aft cabin or suite, how do you compare to the AFT on Oasis class? Meaning that w O class, the aft balconies get smaller as the decks get higher, and on Icon they seem to do the opposite: 1. do aft balconies appear darker/more shaded on Icon? 2. is there more or less privacy? Thank you. I know that O class really only has ATS aft, but just trying to understand whether getting a Sunset suite or Sunset Corner suite might be too dark...
  12. Thank you! too bad though that the adjacent cabin cannot access...
  13. Is there an access to the 14th floor area in screenshot below? Or is that a crew member out there? thx,
  14. Thank you for that review. We will have the GS on 17 Starboard with the JS next door. our college Kids and one of their friend are getting the JS so they should be grateful no matter what! Interesting that the JS on 16 has a deeper balcony. I stayed away from 16 bc thought it might be dark due to overhang. Either way I feel very lucky that we got both those suites for the price of one Sky JS now... Very excited for Icon. long wait but looking forward to it. Have a great time on the rest of your cruise.
  15. @tall-cruiser, how did you like deck 17 and the suite area? Did you think the JS was enough if it is only going to be for 2 people? Like you mentioned, I've heard that while other class ship JS are much roomier for up to 4, the Icon sky JS is really tight when you open the sofabed. Wonder if the other JS are bigger? How was your cruise? Did you enjoy Icon in general, cabin aside? eager to hear your thoughts.
  16. Didn't go yet. Have to wait until next march...Arggh. Meanwhile living vicariously through all of you enjoying Icon before us.
  17. I'm eager to learn what the differences will be between Icon and Star...
  18. You can walk in the lobby, look around and tell them you are an architecture buff from out of town they'll let you wander around the lobby. They may not be doing any formal tours but it is gorgeous to walk through...
  19. Hi If you are still looking at this, Thank you for your review of Odyssey. As a lifetime NYer, if you love architecture you cannot miss the Woolworth Building. It's down near the Freedom tower, oculus, etc. Woolworth building is also called "the Cathedral of Commerce". You can see gargoyles of the people that built it using nickles and dimes. The upper floors are now residences, but the lobby is one of the most beautiful anywhere. Here is a short video about it: https://nylandmarks.org/explore-ny/the-woolworth-building/
