The Seaport also offers a Shuttle Service for cruise passengers, one of which is wheelchair accessible. The Shuttle will pick you up at the Parking Garage/Lot and take you to the appropriate Cruise Terminal location.

Parking:

Parking is available in facilities located in front of individual cruise terminals. No reservations are required to park at the Port of Miami. Long-term parking for a regular vehicle occupying a single space is $20 per day. Short term parking is $7.00 if you are coming to see someone off but, not intended for overnight parking. All Cruises in the current itineraries would fall under Long Term Parking.

Rates will vary for larger vehicles (ie., oversized vans, recreational vehicles and vehicles with trailers). If the vehicle is over 20’ in length then an additional $20.00 is added per day. Therefore, these larger (ie., oversized vans, recreational vehicles and vehicles with trailers) cost $40.00 per day and all oversized vehicles can only park in Lot #2.

Currently garages C, G, and J accept either cash, credit (Visa, MasterCard, American Express only), or US Travelers checks. Lot #2 is currently cash and US Travelers Checks.

Additional Parking Information

There is no Valet Parking at the POM.

Due to security precautions Car/Shuttle rental company facilities are not located on the Port of Miami premises.

Long term parking is $20.00 per day for cruise passengers parking for 24-hours/overnight or longer per cruise length.

Short term parking is $7.00 if you are coming to see someone off but, not intended for overnight parking.

All Cruises in the current itineraries would fall under Long Term Parking.

Oversized vehicles such as motor homes, truck with trailers, or buses that are over 20’ in length will be charged an additional $20.00 per day and can only park in Lot # 2.

At this time, Handicapped parking is Free.

The Port of Miami currently has 3 Parking Garages available for Cruise passengers. The total capacity now available is 5,871, with 56 dedicated to the handicapped and 7 to passengers with young infants. The top floor is open to air at each Garage. There is also one outside Parking Lot available as well.

Wow.... you seem to be patroling everyones post and attempting to correct them ! :D At least ellenmb got her post started off correctly using the term "ships" !

I will admit that the additions to this thread has steered a little bit off track, BUT the interjections by most posting do include issues regarding smoking concerns, therefore NOT REALLY "off topic" as you felt compelled to let others know !

Royal Caribbean International....the correct name of company

Carnival does not have smoke free cabins yets. I think and I hope someone can back me up, RCCL is going or has already went to smoke free cabins.

 

But besides that, the stewards do a great job clearing out the odor of smoke, if you still smell it when you first board, call housekeeping, its one of the buttons on your phone, they will come up and clean it right away.

RCI is now enforcing the new smoking regulations....NO SMOKING INSIDE STATEROOMS, BUT ALLOWED ON BALCONIES.....

Wennfred is correct that the residue of smoke scent 9 times out of 10 is not present (if stateroom was smoked in previously, thanks to great checmicals used !), but if still lingering, your statroom attendant can reclean for you.

Wow is your TA telling you a FIB...... that is so far from the truth being "smoke free" !!

Even if they filled the ships, the revenue of drinking and gambling would possibly be reduced thus the demise of the "Smoke Free" Paradise that was not generating the profits it had hoped to.

It's all about the financials... smoke free is not going to provide the return on investment that ships allowing smoking will provide.

That being said... I am a smoker and in total agreement with RCI's policies and forsee Carnival heading in that direction soon, but not in agreement with Celebrity's new soon to be enforced policies of no smoking in staterooms or on balconies......

I am willing to work with new policies as long as they are fair to ALL passengers !

Getting back to the OP's question regarding ventilation.... it is not great and if one is a smoker, it will certainly bother the non smoker, although I did find that the older "Fantasy" class ships seemd to have better ventilation in their staterooms vs. the newer ships.

Dont look for that to happen.....financially not feasible ! :D

I really hope you are kidding about propping the stateroom door open and letting the smoke filter out into the hallways while listening to others whining ! I too am a smoker and always just smoke either out on the balcony or a designated area of the ship and try to be respectful around non smokers at all times......this smoking topic has gotten so long and drawn out and has turned out to be an all out war here lately on the boards !
