  1. We will be on this exact itinerary June 18th - I was hoping to find out which nights are 'Dressy Nights'? Any info out here? Thanks.
  2. Wow - that's quite a port load!! We will be on NA for this same journey in 11 days - but who is counting? I am 🤣
  3. I had the same issue. Uninstalled and reinstalled and no go. A HAL rep told me if that didn't work to email navigator.support@hollandamerica.com - that they could write a script? I never heard back from that email but a few days later I had access.
  4. LOVE line dancing - thanks for the heads up! I also read somewhere that the view from the Tamarind Bar is very nice - and most newly onboard guests haven't found it yet. If the weather is iffy maybe we will start there. But definitely plan to be outside for Lion's Gate Bridge - sounds awesome! Thanks again!
  5. We have a small group of 15 and I'm wondering where a great place on the ship might be to meet up for sail away north out of Vancouver? I was thinking we'd have a mini golf tournament and then cocktails for sail away but there is no mini golf. One year for a girls cruise I did a pub crawl with trivia questions at each pub - the winner got a crown and sash. Our first cruise with the kids was out of Tampa under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge - I had bubble bottles for each of the kids to blow as we were crossing under. Just looking for something fun, unique for us to all connect once we're on board and before sail away. Thanks in advance for any responses and extra kudos for thinking of something fun and creative 😎
  6. What a great 'Live From' trip report! I am following closely as we are a group 15 from WI ready to enjoy our 49th State on the June 18th sailing. Looks like we will need to pack our patience in Vancouver - I'll just be happy to be setting sail 😎
  7. Perfect - these were exactly the answers I was looking for! Thank you! I was just hoping to avoid doing the train or bus transfer to ANC.
  8. If I'm reading the description correctly for the HAL excursions, they offer this AFTER our cruise is over in Whittier and it gets us to Anchorage via the catamaran for our very late flight home. Has anyone ever done this?
  9. Our cruise debarks in Whittier early morning and our transfers to Anchorage are included in our fare. However, our flight doesn't leave Anchorage until10:30 PM. We will have about 10 people. We really aren't interested in a bus type tour - thinking about getting a room so we can park our luggage and chill. Do some exploring of Anchorage prior to getting to the airport. Is there a better plan for this situation? Open to all suggestions and thanks in advance for your help.
  10. Thanks for the replies everyone. I was SO hoping that Holland America cruises would fall under Carnival vs 'World's Leading Cruise Line'. I do like the suggestion to just get a better rewards card 🙂 and I think I will pursue that.
  11. We have over 140,000 fun points. I would like to use them to pay a portion of our final balance due for our Holland America Cruise (under Carnival Corp umbrella). I'm trying to figure out how to get $1.5 for every 1 point - can anyone help? Carnival Fun Points customer service told me to call Carnival directly but the number she gave me was vacant. Should I call Holland directly? Just want to get the best bang for my buck 🙂
  12. We have a group of 16 sailing HAL NA northbound from Vancouver to Whittier. Three port days - the rest glacier viewing. I'm sure we can't get a table for 16 - so maybe two tables of 8. Should we book on an early departure from one of our three ports or book on one of the evenings that we are sailing past glaciers? Afraid we might miss something on one of the glacier sailings? Opinions welcome - thanks.
  13. Would you share what you did on in Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway? We have a fun group going June 2023 and I'm doing some research. Thanks in advance.
  14. I'd love to hear what you did at your port stops - sounds like you had a fantastic cruise!
