  1. Neither of you "have to" purchase any drink packages but, if one purchases a package, I believe the other must purchase a package (I could wrong). If one purchases DX (with alcohol), the other must purchase the same, unless you call and can confirm a medical exemption. If one purchases the Refreshment package, the other either purchases the same or the Soda package. If one purchases the Soda package, I "believe" the other must purchase the same package (this is the one I'm not sure of). But neither person is required to purchase any drinks package and can just drink what is complimentary on board, such as water from the bar or WJ taps, and coffee, tea and lemonade from the WJ. Hope this helps!
  2. Yes, still and/or sparkling water will be in a bottle. The refreshment package includes all drinks (hot, cold, frozen, or smoothies from the Vitality spa); great package! Yes and no about packages; if one buys a Refreshment package, the other could just purchase the Soda package (I've done that).
  3. You can check-in with the app on your phone as well. If you still can't get it done, you can also call an RCI rep or your TA if you used one. I would not wait until arriving to port to check-in. Maybe that's just me. If the check-in system is down, try again later.
  4. Since it's later on during your cruise, I would just confirm the correct date as soon as you board the ship.
  5. Western including Puerto Costa Maya Mexico, Roatan Honduras, Cozumel Mexico, and CocoCay Bahamas. I do think it will open back up!
  6. Yes and yes! Cheers! It is included in the Deluxe beverage package and the refreshment package but not the soda package.
  7. Hi kimkoop7 and welcome to Cruise Critic! If you'd like to chat with your fellow cruisers on the Mariner the same date as you, go to the roll call, find your specific date, and join the talk! Hubs and I will be on the Mariner from October 21st through Halloween! Will you be with us? Cheers! https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/179-mariner-of-the-seas-roll-calls/
  8. Hah! I think I proved my point! I just went to a September, 2025 date to see available "accessible" cabins for the cheapest week. It only gave me one inside accessible cabin (the one I currently have in November). So, I then backed out of the reservation and went back to look without my C&A number and it showed that all of the accessible interior cabins were gone! Nope! Don't believe it! For those looking to book specific cabins, don't give up too soon, especially if your cruise is farther away. I believe that more cabins will open up down the road!
  9. I think Royal may be manipulating the availability of cabins, as well as dates, so keep checking. Our ICON sail date is November 15, 2025 and some days it's posted and other days it's gone! Makes one think that the date is sold out, so forces some people to pick another date and/or another cabin. I really think we are being manipulated by their marketing strategies.
  10. Usually I would say that bigger is better; however, in your case and for the ease of travel, I would now say that longer is better and choose Vision from Baltimore. Happy first cruise! Cheers!
  11. Maybe a President's cruise? Wondering if I could just move the deposit to another date for a cheaper price or hang out awhile to see what happens with that date.🤔
  12. Your answer eased my stress level; however, new dates have been posted into 2026 and my booked date of November 15, 2025 is still not listed!!! Stress level is on the rise! Wonder what that's all about.🙄 Sorry to keep whining about this but, if anyone can find out, you can! TIA Oh, and btw, the prices are cheaper than what I paid!🤬 Looks like I may have jumped the gun on this one. WWYD?
  13. Whew! Thank you! Hope you don't mind if I ask another quick question. I booked inside accessible cabin #9179. The description for an inside accessible cabin on the web site states that it is 285 sq ft and the 2 twin beds can convert to a Royal King; however, on my booking invoice, it states that the 2 twin beds convert to a queen, which I just now took a moment to read the description. The deck plan shows this cabin very close to the elevators and that cabin on the map does look a bit smaller than the others. Could it really be just a queen bed and not a king? I guess it wouldn't kill me to sleep closer to my DH but I really like my space and can't sleep very well if he's touching me. Weird, I guess. LOL! TIA and have a wonderful day!
  14. Ken @Ourusualbeach - First off, I promise that I am not lying - I saw and immediately booked the ICON for a 7 night cruise on November 15, 2025 from Miami but this is no longer on the web site. Our cabin is #9179 and I have a confirmation number. Any idea what may be going on? Computer glitch maybe or someone goofed and opened up the date? We haven't heard anything from Royal either. I booked this reservation on September 7, 2023.
  15. Your 7 days on Adventure really ends up being a little over 6 days since you'll be losing at least half of a day or maybe more, in case of a delay, when you must exit the ship and then get back on; lots of wasted hours there. Mariner gets my vote; they have a great Playmakers staff too!!!
  16. OK, how many, besides me, had to google the definition of "infinitesimal"? Be honest!🙄
  17. I'd save the voucher and just buy the latte; however, I prefer a caramel macchiato!!😜 Or, you could have them put a shot of your favorite libation in it too!😉 Cheers!
  18. I would think you could pay to upgrade; wouldn't hurt to call and ask.
  19. For me, most people have been courteous and attempt to move out of the way for me or hold the elevators doors for me because they close very quickly; however, there are a few who jump in front of the scooters or wheelchairs to get into an elevator first, even when I've gotten there first and waited awhile. That does not happen very often though. I can walk but not far or stand for very long, so, while on the larger ships, I am glad to have my scooter if I feel the need to use it.
  20. If you have a disabled license plate and a ramp attachment on your vehicle to carry your equipment to the port terminal, you will be allowed to park in a handicapped parking space at no charge (in case you do want to bring your own equipment). I will have my own scooter on board the Mariner of the Seas leaving PC on 10/28/23; will you be on Mariner as well? Yes, we have seen the rental scooters are right at the terminal where you will be boarding the ship. Welcome to Cruise Critic!
  21. So sorry @DEBCAT65 - safe travels home!
  22. I agree with some others that I would choose more nights on the Oasis. Maybe you could upgrade to a balcony (if you want) or bid on a different cabin during the Royal Up program (within 30 days for some). Happy cruising!
  23. And each room steward can each check their assigned cabins, so more hands on deck for a quicker process.
  24. We'll be on Adventure several times in the upcoming months. I don't see any real benefit for the Suite perks on Adventure, so am not interested, unless I happen to win a Royal UP bid for a lot less $$. However, I would love to have the suite experience on an Oasis class ship!
  25. I would love to be on the same cruise with @PG_Cruiser, so I can follow him around the bars to taste some of those amazing recipes!! Cheers!!
