  1. We booked a weekend get away on Mariner they booked us in the cabins on Deck 3 that didn't exist on the old deck plans. Has anyone stayed in these? Any pictures? Thanks in Advance, Frequent RCCL Cruiser.
  2. You can blast me, but this happened last month. Hubby and I are Diamond Plus and we took our 4 year old grandson with us on a 5 day cruise out of Tampa. The first night the Concierge was doing a diligent job of checking cards and the woman in front of us knew she was sneaking in. The Concierge very nicely told her that due to limited seats he was required to not let her in. She turned around and looked at us and asked if he was going to let "the kid" in. To that our grandson promptly showed her HIS DIAMOND Card and grinned at her. She had the balls to go around and try to come in thru the overflow door. It made us grin everytime we entered the lounge and our Luca proudly showed his card.
  3. I think the cab was like $20 for a van for 6 of us each way.
  4. Our Grandson's name is Luca. He is a red head, and will be hard to miss. We have done the Adventrue Ocean several times with Luca, but he is the only grandchild on both sides and does not want to miss anything, so he doesn't stay very long. Please say hello if you see us. We look forward to meeting everyone. Steve, Karla, and Luca
  5. We are also on the sailing this Monday. My Husband and Myself with a 4 year old Grand Son. This will be our 34th cruise, not sure how many on Brilliance, but we love the smaller ships. Can't wait to spoil our Grandson. Anyone else with young children?

    Shanghai Question

Based on feedback from my airline, we decided to get the 10 year Visa. We did meet one other couple on the ship who did the 144 hour and they said it took them 4 hours at the PVG Airport. I just didn't want to risk it. We had a VERY GOOD price for the airfare $504 round trip from PHX to PVG so we expect that we will be doing it again soon.
  7. Last time we took a cab, not terribly expensive, but this time we are going to try the City Bus at $2.50 pp each way.
  8. We went to the Turtle farm a year ago and we are going back next week. We did the full tour and this includes snorkeling in a lagoon that is full of turtles. It was great fun and our Grandson was able to see the turtles up close in a more natural environment. After that we went and swam in the Huge freshwater swimming pool. The water slide was fun. If you spend all the time and effort to get there, enjoy the day.
  9. Also recommend checking with your airline. American Agent in Phoenix said she had never heard of the 144 hour visa and told me that we would not be getting on a plane to China without the Visa. We are in Shanghai now, and with the Visa we were able to move thru the airport very quickly.

    Shanghai Question

We are in Shanghai now. We have been here for 3 days. We get on the Quantum tomorrow. We stayed on the Bund and did all the sites in the city. Spent a morning at the Yu Gardens. It SNOWED. Many here said it is the first time that they have seen snow in Shanghai. We went up in the towers and toured the area, I can't imagine missing the sites of town to travel all the way out to Water Town. That being said, we did waste alot of time waiting for Hop on Hop off buses.
  11. We will be on Quantum next week. I will note the shows and reply back.
  12. We received our Visa's today from Mile High Visa. You can google them. Did it all by Fed Ex in less than 10 days (Non-Expedited service - No extra fee). We could not be any happier.
