You can pick Davekathy and I'll have the other one.😎

    Both nice cars.

My goal is to convince the Boss to go condo.  Then to go urban and have no car, until I can get a self driving one.

This morning, we close on selling our home.

Looking forward to the future when we can begin moving into our new home. Hopefully, we will be in it this time next year.

I will probably hop on my Scoot and go for a ride. I’ll pack the drone and see what kind of trouble I can get into.

Congrats.  Glad you got past that step.  Hoping the construction goes quickly and you all are in the new house soon.

Galapagos was 1st and foremost on my bucket list, not on my DH's.

He categorically declared: "I'm not flying over half the world to see some turtles...".

Luckily, my cousin, whose DH eats kosher and is not keen to travel abroad, agreed to travel with me, otherwise Galapagos would have remained forever "on the bucket".

She required also a week of shopping spree in NY in our way back, to which I readily agreed....

Galapagos for me, shopping for her -- fair enough.

We enjoyed both our respective "itineraries" very much 😁.

Love that it was "Just to see turtles"  and that your cousin had to add a shopping trip requirement.

Good answer, but I was thinking more of a difference in actual photograph 😉

This is one of those times that I hate how easily I can be goaded.

Time of day - Photo 2 seems later in the day (first rule of SAT, obvious ones first)

Snow melt - Photo 2 has less snow on the ground

The zoom is different and possibly the angles

There is a pot in photo 2 not in photo 1

The neighbors light is on in photo 2

Seems like 1 is a wider angle shot, allowing us to see more of the neighbors back yard

The neighbor has/had young children as they have a playhouse.

There is a second tree in the second photo not visible in the first.

and yet somehow I think, none of that is it.

Edit: Thought the umbrella was gone, but zooming revealed it's still there.

Hope you and @singinalot are happy now.

  5. Thanks to everyone.  I now have a list of places to checkout and confirmation on others.

A few notes: @dani negreanu Antarctica is a bucket list for me, but it will be a father/son trip.  The Boss Lady saw footage of the passage over to Antarctica and said "Pass".

Venice is top of Boss Lady's list. So I will have to hide Dani's photos unless I want to go there next.

I have looked at both the South Pacific and Middle East ports.

I honestly know very little of Copenhagen and Stockholm, so something to start studying.

@island lady I was liking your choices of ports not your cancellations.

  6. Wondering with all the collective cruising experience on the thread, what is the one port you haven't visited yet that you most want to visit.  Different than a region or specific itinerary, just a port.

Mine is Tortola.  We have only called there once and didn't go to the Baths.  So I am always looking to get back there.  I think I'll have to go on NCL.

Yes, it's a CNN site but it's not political, just a fun harmless quiz so it's safe to click on.

"Cryday" should be the term for the day your booked cruise is officially cancelled.  As in, "When does Royal announce a cruise will be cancelled?"  "Oh it happens every Cryday"

New slang terms for us to overuse and hate soon. I'm embarrassed that I was only able to guess 4 out of 10 correctly. My youthful street cred is gonna take a hit.

BTW, those hints may or may not be correct.

7 out of 10, Bruh.  I am Gucci.  Now I need to do some adulting.

Have you seen the new Publix holiday ad where the little girl is making danish Christmas morning with mom, then grows up and does it with her kid.

Their holiday ads are like mini Hallmark movies.

Can't find current one, but this is a collection from years past

Yeah, they are always my wife's favorite ads

    Thank you for sharing.

I have not made these in 3 or 4 years.  When I pulled it up, I was thinking about how my mother measured everything with her hands.  When she gave me the recipe, we made a batch and I had to convert everything to a measure.  I don't know if she owned a measuring cup or spoon.  She is in a nursing home now, and it was a nice little memory.

Would she share the recipe?  My kid loves anything lemony,I love ricotta.

    Marietta,

I'm sure John will post theirs.

Typed this up from my moms recipes

    INGREDIENTS

2 sticks (1 cup) plus 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened

425 grams sugar (about 2 cups)

1 ¾ cups ricotta cheese (15 ounces), preferably fresh

Finely grated zest of 1/2 lemon

    4 teaspoons vanilla extract

    2 large eggs

    480 grams all-purpose flour (about 4 cups)

10 grams baking soda (2 teaspoons)

4 grams fine sea salt (about 3/4 teaspoon)

450 grams confectioners’ sugar (about 4 cups)

    2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

¼ cup to 1/2 cup milk, as needed

Cream 2 sticks butter with sugar until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add ricotta, lemon zest and 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and beat well. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then beat in flour, baking soda and salt. Cover dough and chill for at least 2 hours.

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Shape tbs of dough into balls. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheets (lined) and bake until pale golden on the bottom, about 15 minutes.

Melt remaining tablespoon butter. Whisk confectioners sugar, then whisk in melted butter, lemon juice, remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and enough milk to make a spreadable icing (add a little at a time). Spread icing on cooled cookies, then let set for at least 20 minutes before serving.
