  1. The "BVE" stands for Bon Voyage Experience. In some embarkation ports people who are not cruising can call Princess and arrange to have lunch on board and tour the ship. A boarding picture and a glass of wine at lunch is included.

At all ports Platinum, Elites and Suite passengers have priority boarding.

Enjoy sailing from San Francisco. It is beautiful!

  2. Acapulco has been safe, especially since they got rid of the local police and put in the Federals. I spend 10 days in February there and have not been concerned. I make sure to stay in the tourist areas. NCL was stopping in Acapulco in February and I think a Silver Seas ship.

Another reason the cruise lines don't stop is that many Americans feel uncomfortable in Acapulco because it is not a shiny city like Cabo.

    Just my opinions.

  3. I agree with Pam. I will turn anyone in who is smoking on balcony or room.

Princess needs to make the entire Promenade deck non smoking so those choosing to run or walk has fresh air to breathe in. A pool area all non smoking would be nice also. We are looking forward to enjoying our balcony on next cruises. Would love to meet Pam on a cruise. Hoping the pizza place on Lido deck will not be surrounded by smoker(ers).

Seadeck2, the fewer places that are non-smoking means that the places that are will have even more smoke. For walkers and runners there is still plenty of deck without smokers. Every cruise will be different as to how many smokers are on board. If you are not happy with the current policy, you too can vote with your wallet and cruise on a different line. Don't forget smokers should be able to enjoy their vacation also.

  4. FYI, I just got off a Disney Cruise and the Park West people told me they have been asked to do Princess art auctions but they don't have the personnel to handle it. I like the Princess auctions better and hope this doesn't happen like it has in the casino. I will say the couple that handle the art auction on the Disney cruise were the best of the auctioneers I have encountered. They were friendly and handled it very nicely.
