  1. i was just about to call my bank to make a cc dispute. i chosed the full refund option on april 20th for a cruise on may 11th that was cancelled. i decided to wait until july 20th when the 90 day limit was up. this was my thinking on june 26th. but lo and behold when i woke up saturday morning june 27th all my money was on my cc, boy was i surprised. bank statement said it was received on june 25th. this was strange because i did not see this on june 26th . anyway i am a happy camper now. i still not going on anymore cruises, i think i'm done now after thirty cruises. things will ne
  2. There will be no refunds......cruise lines are hoping that many people will foolishly take a future cruise credit. This will let the cruise line off the hook regarding issuing refunds. If anyone really notices it, nobody has really gotten a cash refund for their cruise. I know cruise lines are very busy with so many cancellations at this time. However as of this date somebody, somewhere should have received a cash refund for their cruise. I'm not talking about cruise extras, i'm talking about cruises period. I invested $1200.00 for two cruises way before final payment
  3. I think that you are right....I would advise everyone to get their cash refunds asap otherwise you will only lose it. That is a lot of money to lose. there will be no future cruise credit (that only allows the cruise line more time to figure out to go bankrupt) and they will. The cruise industry is done for now. This is just the beginning, viruses are evolving I think things are about to get a lot worse. If you think that you will be cruising next year keep dreaming. it may take longer. get your money back and run.
  4. Get out now while you still can...try to get ownership of your money. count your loses. this situation is not going away soon. the cruise lines want you to take future cruise credits because it let's them off the hook, and gives them more time to figure things out. they want to keep control of your money. no one will be cruising anytime in the near future. You will lose all of your money...cruise lines will go bankrupt..so will you if you keep day dreaming about a future cruise. People wake up and get your money back. keep things in your control. if things change then yo
  5. I cancelled my November 29th cruise on NCL ENCORE today 03/19/2020. This is 255 days before the sailing date. The final payment date is August 1st 2020. The cruise line said that I will receive a cash refund within 14 days to my credit card. I am waiting to see this happen. I will keep you posted. I do believe the cruise line is in trouble.

  7. The Cruise line only wants to keep all of your money. Future cruise credit is a scam. The refund process is also a scam. Since when do you have to send a form in to choose refund of Future cruise credit. don't forget the fact that refunds will take about 90 days to process, that's plenty of time for them to see what's going on with this corona virus and most of all plenty of time for them to choose to go bankrupt. The bottom line is that cruise passengers will end up receiving nothing. or maybe we will just get about eleven bucks from the settlement of a massive lawsuit

  10. My guess is to wait it out and see if the cruise line will be forced to offer real time refunds in cash to people who want to opt to cancel. I do not want all of my money sitting on a future cruise credit, in my case about 3k. If I were on a ship and I purchased a future cruise credit it would only cost about $100 per person and final payments would be at my discretion. I like to be in control of my own destiny. Remember this, If the cruise lines cancels the cruise you should get all your money back in cash. If you (the traveler) cancels the cruise you will lose m
  11. 100% FUTURE CRUISE CREDIT IS NOT A REFUND....IT IS A SCAM......THE CRUISE LINE WILL MAKE THEIR MONEY BACK QUICKLY. THE ADVISORY TO AVOID CRUISING HOPEFULLY WILL FORCE THE CRUISE LINE TO OFFER REAL TIME CASH REFUNDS. DO YOU REALIZE HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL CANCEL IF THEY HAD THE OPTION TO RECEIVE A CASH REFUND? FOOLISH PEOPLE WILL CHOOSE TO CRUISE EVEN AFTER THIS ADVISORY. MANY PEOPLE ARE STILL CRUISING BECAUSE THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE FORCED TO LOSE MONEY. (PEOPLE WERE SUCKERED BY THE CRUISE LINE TO TAKE A FUTURE CRUISE CREDIT) SOME
  12. What about the pools? your body is a sponge, are people getting in the water? can you catch the corona virus that way? if so then are these people aware of that? how can you protect yourself in the pool or hot tub? I am very concerned about my cruise. Are people just acting like they just don't care and that things are normal? are people acting like they are aware of corona virus?
