  1. Love Aqua class. Blu is lovely. However on the M class ships the Persian gardens are not that great. Did not even use when we were on the Infinity in September. Much better on the S class. I would not spend more than $50 per day to be in Aqua on a M class ship.
  2. Jaime……Love your live postings.(or as live as you can get😉) Will be following along. Breakaway is my favourite NCL ship so far.
  3. Personally does not entice me. Room does not look that much different except for size than a club balcony. No shade outside is a no go for me.
  4. At least your NCL cruise sailed. We flew in for our NCL cruise on September 29th on the 24th. Ian was not even a named hurricane at this point. On the evening of the 27th we find out that NCL has completely cancelled the cruise. Are we disappointed-yes Are we surprised- no…in the matter of 48 hours this storm is now a cat 5 hurricane barreling straight at where we are. We can’t even leave as the airports are closed. Go into plan B mode and stock up the hotel room. Ride out the hurricane and thankfully all is okay. Still cannot change our flight home so we drove down to Port Everglades and we’re able to get on a cruise that left on the weekend. Different cruise company, no research, no plans, did not even look at the ports we were sailing to. Just happy to be okay…able to salvage a week of our vacation and count our blessings. Not at all what we had planned for but we rolled with Mother Nature and still had a great time together. We will never forget our 30th anniversary💕
  5. Dress code has certainly relaxed but going into Blu last night on the Infinity the hostess quietly informed the group standing behind us in line that the men could not enter in shorts for dinner. So I guess it is hit or miss which ship is enforcing the dress code.
  6. Currently on the Infinity and we are rumoured to have just over 1400 passengers on board. So about 2/3 full. Ship feels empty. I am guessing that many inside and O/V rooms are empty as Retreat, Aquaclass and Concierge were listed as sold out. Crew is working extremely hard and you can tell the crew numbers are not what they used to be. Service would be strained if the ship was at 100% capacity.

  8. Can’t complain since we only booked this cruise 48 hrs ago for a cruise that was cancelled due to hurricane Ian. I will just be happy to be bobbing on the sea with work unable to connect with me. I honestly did not know where we were even sailing when I booked it.🤣🤣
  9. Since we fly in tomorrow as we are going to WDW before the cruise we will just adjust our hotel and car rental if needed. We cruised after a hurricane hit Miami one year and the ship departed on time. Amazed me as we had been quarantined to our hotel for the two days prior. No power, flooded lobby with trees all over the place.
  10. We normally cruise in September and have sailed before and during hurricanes. Before we were stuck in an Embassy Suites after landing at the airport. Miami was flooded with no power in places. However, we sailed on schedule and made it to all our ports of call. While already at sea we have had cruises diverted to a different port if possible but most have usually turned into an extra day at sea. Since we do not sail the Caribbean for the ports of call in September we are good with the ship going where it needs to in order to avoid bad weather.
  11. Thank you for all your posts over your cruise. we shall be enjoying the Getaway in just a couple weeks. The only thing I noticed is Syd Norman’s had no times in the dailies. Was it not opened in the evenings?
  12. I know to add streaming to the plus package was an extra $10 per day. Making it an additional $59 per day per person.
  13. Following along. we are booked for the end of September. we love the Breakaway so hoping the Getaway being a sister ship will be very similar. If possible could you see if the spa has day pass pricing. I really do not want to purchase a pass for the entire cruise.
  14. Totally made sense for us to add The Free at Sea Plus promo to our booking. We always upgrade the beverage package, we both need internet while away from from work and we eat in the specialty restaurants nearly every night. The extra shore excursions credit was a bonus and I booked a couple of beach days that did not go over the credit limit. You need to phone to have this added to your booking (FASUP) as it is a promo and not an upgrade.
  15. Yes. I put bids in on Friday and was either able to use 100% FCC or a credit card. You could not split the payments so you would need to have enough FCC to cover your bid.
  16. Lol….wish it was that easy🤣🤣🤣🤣 At the moment I have had to stop, as all my deposit money is tied up in the refund process🙄 BTW….I took your comment as being funny and not mean.😉
  17. Yes that is the experience I have had with a couple others that have needed to be refunded due to the cruises being cancelled.

  19. Credit Card company is saying that since a partial refund has already been processed that they will not dispute the charge until the 90 day mark.
  20. Getting frustrated with Celebrity and there refund turn around time. Cancelled a cruised on March 28th (deposit was $960) Received refund of $490 on April 1st. Contacted Celebrity End of April and was told the remaining $470 had been refunded. Found out the refund was not processed to my CC. Was told it was being fixed and would take a couple weeks. Now 77 days later from the initial cancellation I am still waiting. Cancelled another cruise with a $530 deposit on April 26th and I am still waiting on that refund as well. This one is now at 51 days. My Celebrity PVP does not return my emails and waiting on hold only gets me sales reps with no answers and will not transfer my call. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
  21. I am also a nut case when it comes to flight seats and cabin selection. Certain items such as the side of the ship, were the bed is placed, which direction the bed is facing are all specific items that I have to have just so….or my motion sickness kicks in. Same on a plane with the side of the plane and the seat. If my room was changed and I was not notified it would not be a good start to a vacation.

  23. Okay…..May insider is probably in my inbox somewhere or I have yet to receive. Are there longer cruise options for the promo as a 10 day cruise would hit the 30 points.
  24. Where are you seeing this? I cannot find it on the NCL site to see the terms and conditions. I would imagine it is the “up to” wording.
