  1. Thanks everyone, I did think it would be too close and I would be very stressed! Wanting to go to Museum Stoomtram, so will do the trip the day before original departure and will head to Delft on the back to back day. Have visited Amsterdam on 2 previous visits so want to go further afield.
  2. We are doing the 21-Day Norwegian Fjords & Baltic Jewels departing Amsterdam August 23 2020. We will be back in Amsterdam mid cruise (August 30) from 7.00 till 5.00pm. Trying to plan a day trip outside of Amsterdam and would like to know the final all aboard for returning passengers. May not arrive back at Centraal station until 4.00pm and would need to then get back to cruise terminal - think this may be too close?
  3. Thank you everyone for your suggestions they are very helpful. Would like it to be a slow day.
  4. Thank you for the update. We are thinking of an inside cabin( we will have just completed a 21 day cruise on Nieuw Statendam in a balcony). Had been looking at mid ship. Appears that that there are no inside cabins available on deck 8 only on deck 9, may look at the aft cabins(9215 a sideways cabin near stairs is available).
  5. Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Will look into catching the train to Cobh or Cork and looking/walking around.
  6. Thanks for the review we are hoping to travel on the Star next September - what cabin were you in?
  7. Will be visiting Cobh(Cork) next September and looking at things to do(prefer small groups or DIY). Not interested in visiting Blarney Castle which is included in a number of day trips. Any suggestions on tours to nearby areas/places to visit?
  8. Looking at inside cabin category IB for the British Isles cruise next September. Has anyone stayed in these cabins that are sideways, if so any issues?
  9. Thanks again CruiseShelly for the information, was going to ask what entry time we should book. I have lots of time to start planning our visits, just hope the weather is kind to us. Again many thanks.
  10. Thanks for the information - we want to see Miniatur Wunderland too! Did you walk from the drop off point to the exhibit? Had thought about catching the train but having 4.5 hours there and knowing the ship will wait for us is making my decision easy. What other ports did you visit and what did you do in each port? We are visiting Oslo, Kristiansand, Stavanger, Flam(will do train independently), Copenhagen, Warnemunde(doing independent tour with Friends of Dave), Tallinn, St. Petersburg(will do independent tour), Helsinki, Stockholm, Kiel & Arhus.
  11. Has anyone taken the "Hamburg on your own" excursion offered while docked in Kiel? Am aware that this is just a shuttle service to Hamburg and that the ride is 90 minutes each way. Just wanted to know how much time you actually have in Hamburg to do "our own thing".
  12. Thanks for the link, hope there is not much noise from the crew area. Also that we(hubby & I) don't get bumped from the cabin for a larger group!
  13. Have just booked this cabin for the Norwegian Fjords & Baltic Jewels in August 2020. Can anyone let me know what is in the area between this cabin and cabin 4156? Any pictures of the cabin & larger deck?

    Tender in Ketchikan

Thank you all for the information. Yes they are aware that we will be tendered, our schedule shows we dock at 9.30 so are booked on the 11am flight.
  15. We will be on board the Coral Princess that will be tendering in Ketchikan on Monday 19th August. Can anyone let me know where the tender boats let you off and how long the trip ashore will take? We need to find our van for our flight to Traitors Cove that will be parked just north of the Ketchikan Liquid Sunshine Gauge.
