  1. We sailed recently on the Infinity in 1133 and had no issues with noise from above or below. If the balcony door was closed,we hardly heard anything even when there was a musician at the bar below. We loved being a quick walk from the bar/buffet and not having a lot of traffic going by. Our balcony was a little smaller than what 1138 has, but it was still large and we spent a lot more time on it than our neighbors seemed to.
  2. I was also on this cruise and our room attendant kept coming by periodically and wiping down all the door handles. They didn't always rewipe the cleaner off so it would still be a bit wet and we would wash our hands immediately so I guess it was working!
  3. We skipped Key West on our November Majesty of the Seas cruise due to winds too. They circled the island a couple times before deciding we couldn't dock so we got a sea day that day and our original sea day became CocoCay so we didn't have less ports.
  4. We were just on Majesty in mid-November before she moved to New Orleans, and our stateroom attendant did a great job keeping the room clean, so I wouldn't worry about that.
  5. Ship: Infinity Length of Cruise: 5 Day Cruise Sail Date: 2/29/20 Date email offer received: 12/31/19 Captain’s Club Tier: Select via RCCL Status Match Booked through Celebrity Direct OR via TA: Celebrity Current Cabin: A1 Bid? Yes/No: No Minimum bids pp: Sky Suite - $300 Celebrity Suite - $400 Royal Suite - $750 We have an aft A1 that we are really excited for, so we chose not to bid. It looks like there currently is one Sky Suite, one Celebrity Suite, and several Royal Suites available that are each at least double what we paid so upgrading could have been a good deal. We got a great rate with all 4 perks included as part of a promo when we booked.
  6. We were just on Majesty in November and we actually had to skip Key West due to high seas and went to CocoCay on another day as the replacement. It was still a bit bumpy, so maybe the smaller ships have an easier time docking there? We were also concerned about not having a balcony as it was my companion's first time cruising and we couldn't justify the cost of the junior suites. We had one of the larger oceanview rooms on deck 9 and loved being a short walk from most activities. It was also nice to be between stateroom decks so we didn't hear noise from the pool or lounges at night. We got a great deal on this cruise and I think it was a nice starter cruise. Majesty is definitely not the ship for those that need a lot of activities happening all the time. We were going for a relaxing trip so it was perfect to hang out and read or get drinks in the Schooner Bar. We spent a lot of time there. It was also the only place we noticed TVs showing sports besides the large screen above the pool showing one NFL game at a time (sometimes without sound). We never made it to any of the evening shows/karaoke/etc.
  7. They had both the ranger cookies and the cranberry white chocolate ones in the buffet during our recent cruise on the Majesty.
  8. I was on this cruise too. We were a bit disappointed to miss Key West as this was my companion's first cruise and we were looking forward to it, but I understand the need to skip. I wouldn't have purposely booked a cruise to Cococay and it exceeded my expectations. Hopefully we'll get to stop at Key West as planned during our next cruise. We had a somewhat rocky trip for about 2 of the days so I think some of the other passengers got seasick and couldn't enjoy as much. Luckily, neither of us are prone to motion sickness.
  9. I did not bid, but here are what we were offered for informational purposes: Ship: Majesty Length of Cruise: 4 nights Cruise Sail Date: 11/16/19 Date email offer received:10/02/19 C & A Tier: Gold (Platinum! after this cruise) Booked through RCL Direct OR via TA: RCL Current Cabin: Superior Oceanview Did you place a bid? No Bidding Details: Cabin Category: Junior Suite Minimum Bid (pp):$200 Cabin Category: Grand Suite Minimum Bid (pp):$450 Cabin Category: Owner's Suite Minimum Bid (pp):$800 Bid Offer: N/A Notification Date:N/A Accepted / Rejected: N/A We are happy with what we chose and didn't feel it was worth it to upgrade after getting a good rate on this cruise.
  10. Thanks! Perhaps one day I will be Diamond too. Hopefully my companion becomes a huge fan of cruising! 😎
  11. This is making me so excited for our November cruise on Majesty! Now we wait for my companion's passport to return so we can officially complete check in! I was on the Monarch years ago, but don't remember it that well. Do you feel like the low ceilings are an issue? Also, is the Viking Crown Lounge closed off each night for the Diamond happy hour or can others access the parts that are not specifically closed off? It seems like a nice, quiet place to enjoy sail away if it isn't blocked off. Thanks for the review!
  12. Congrats! I'm one point away from Platinum myself and looking at booking a short cruise before we try out Celebrity in February. It would be nice to have some reciprocity perks to start off, but mainly I just want to get one more cruise in and my birthday is coming up!! 😃 It's been way too long since my last one.
  13. Yikes! We booked the Infinity 5 day on 2/29 and it looks like it's one of the few that isn't chartered in January and February (so far!). Is there a certain point at which they will no longer book charters, or a way to find out how fully booked the ship is already? The Celebrity website shows many categories sold out, but I know some TAs still have availability for those types. I've been looking around for a comparable cruise and everything else is so much more expensive than what we booked. Good luck, OP! You are obviously a far more seasoned cruiser than I am.
