Ncl won’t know till later today or even tomorrow... weather reports change a lot. You are best ringing them up or your travel insurance.

Ask for a summary from your consultant to take onboard in case you need it?

I believe osheehans still serve them. I think they were around $4-5

Probably because the cost of the cruise - we all feel we have to get our fill of the freebies - food and drink... I certainly do. [emoji846]

If you have a ‘busy’ stateroom with people coming and going I can see this been an issue (although you don’t see details just shadows...). When I cruise we only go back to the stateroom to shower for dinner or sleep so don’t spend much time there hence why it wasn’t ever an issue.

I tended to go spice h20 or the area between there and pool deck or as said before 18 forward for quiet. If you want to be near some action it won’t be quiet!!

I’ve been on epic multiple times. There is a curtain to close if you don’t want your ‘shadow’ showing to a friend. The separate toilet arrangement is great as means one can go to toilet whilst the other is in the shower. I’ve never had water going into the carpet. We don’t order room service when in the shower and have the do not disturb sign on whilst we are showering etc. We always chose the bed by the balcony so didnt have the sink issue. I’ve travelled with a friend once and also with my husband and both times never had any concerns. The doors are not see through like a window!!!!

I’ve always find staff can find hot chocolate if needed - however I prefer taking my own hot chocolate. Not a huge fan of the ncl one!

I love the epic!! The bathroom layout is European - it’s great as it means if sharing a room one can use the toilet while the other is in the shower... no bother at all!! Love the bar layouts on epic, shakers etc. Haven’t been on getaway so cannot compare.

I’m not expecting ncl to make anything public. If it was a death there might be a report into the public eye but as this ended positively I don’t see that happening.

It’s one through my bank. (I think it’s underwritten by axa but the terms don’t match the standard axa terms) I had to claim last year for a delayed return to port and missed flight hence I know it pays upto £5000 per person for the added return flight (minus £40 excess!) had no problems claiming either...

My worldwide annual travel insurance covers upto £5000 per person If ship was delayed into port for missed flights... it’s a 5 star defaqto policy and with cruise add on.
I do feel sorry for those that are not covered though. I hope NCL might be forgiving in the circumstances.

In the UK we need to buy insurance with cruise cover to be covered. I think it’s wrong of insurers not to cover if cruise cover was included.

Contact NCL? I’m very surprised insurance wouldn’t cover.

They used to do a mint chocolate on pillow to latitudes members. Not sure if they still do? I think we all get the sparkling wine on day 1 instead now.

As it’s multiple newspapers with multiple sources I intend to believe there is some truth. They have also used close family and friends to formulate the story. It is clear the woman is having some mental health issues. Let’s hope she gets the help she needs.

I find mdr ok for my needs. I rarely eat speciality. Usually the meat dishes are quite good, and usually cooked well to my liking.

It was barricaded AFTER she fell / jumped. Not during the cruise. They had pictures of the area roped off
This is what I meant.. the pic on Twitter is one of the sides and not the aft/back which is what the lady claims is where she fell from! Ncl put a metal barricade in place before it arrived in port after the lady went overboard... this is definitely a side down to the railing design.

You can usually take off water and may be able to bring the same back on during port days. I usually just bring an empty one back on.

Does anyone know what ncl is like if you need to disembark early on any itinerary for example due to a family emergency? Is this possible as it can’t be planned for?

It was also very calm which helped her survival. They say the water temperature was similar to a warm bath.
