  1. We have been to Bermuda a dozen times and have to say that Clearwater Beach was our least favorite. Don’t skip Horseshoe...just walk further down with your towels away from the crowds.
  2. The spa pass is $219 per person for a 7 day sailing and it's adults only. I believe 18 and over. Sorry 😞
  3. Really not much of a secret, but I'd make sure to try and sneak in a few spa days so that you can enjoy the heated loungers, the therapy pool, the salt room, saunas, steam an snow room and the panoramic sea vies. She's a gorgeous ship ..just got back today from a week on board.
  4. It would be very helpful if you told us your bid amount! Sent from my iPad using Forums
  5. This is really good to know. Thanks for the info. Any idea what a taxi will cost from St. George's?
  6. This is great info. We are sailing on our first comped CAS cruise in October. If we hadn't called, we never would have known that we were eligible! In any case, we booked during a tax-free week and only had to pay tax and the administrative fee of $280 ($20/day x 7days x 2 people)/ We applied 1 of our 2 cruise next certificates and the out of pocket cost was $30!
  7. For those that have purchased travel insurance, check it. Some policies cover you for an itinerary change. Sent from my iPad using Forums
  8. Hubby once bought an expensive watch on a cruise ship. Later that night he noticed a scratch on it so he returned for a full refund. When we got home, he bought the same watch for 40% less! Sent from my iPad using Forums
  9. I’d say it’s well over that. Likely closer to $5,000. Sent from my iPad using Forums
  10. I love the Fairmont Southampton - especially the beach and their afternoon tea! We spend a glorious week there one year with our 2 kids who were annoyed that we decided on a land vacation instead of cruise. They complained that they would be bored. It remains one of the best family vacations we have ever taken.
  11. Yes! Looking forward to meeting you! We probably paid a lot more than $30 too when you factor in the gambling we did..lol :')
  12. If you are a frequent player in the casino on any of the ships, you may qualify for either a discounted or free cruise. Some players are contacted directly via mail or email promos (we were not!) and others find out when they call Casinos at Sea (877 752-9625) and ask. You will need to provide them with your passenger number. If you and your significant other are both players, provide them with both numbers, as they will combine play for qualification purposes. Hope this helps!
  13. I guest my best deal is coming up. CAS comped us an oceanview cabin on the Oct 14th Escape sailing. Administrative fees came to $280 for us both and I paid using my CruiseNext certificate. My total was $30 because I booked it during a tax free promo. Let's see how much it actually winds up costing us!! How do you all find out the great deals on upcoming cruises? Would love some tips!
  14. The upgrade charge only applies to 1st and 2nd passengers. 3rd & 4th would still be free but make sure that you are bidding on a category that will accommodate 4 people! Sent from my iPad using Forums
  15. We are booked through CAS so we should get one although I heard it’s arbitrary. We got an email for our Gem Cruise last Feb and successfully upgraded from a balcony to a forward facing penthouse suite. This time all I want is a balcony. We booked an ocean view. Sent from my iPad using Forums
