Most public spaces have been updated with new carpets (more contemporary color schemes) and the soft goods replaced.  The rooms are still pretty dated and can show some signs of wear.  If you experience anything broken or not working properly a quick mention to your stateroom attendant will have it repaired promptly.

Thank you for the info. Good to know.

    Yes bars are open.

I was on in March and I know in the evening it was open. I want to say the slots we open the whole time but I had the premium booze package.

Just hope you can dock. If winds are high, they can't.

Thank you.  I had not considered not being able to dock...

  3. First time on MSC and the only port is Ocean Cay. Will be on the Seaside. Looks like we are docked there for a day and a half. Are the bars on the ship open while docked at Ocean Cay?  Is the casino open while docked at Ocean Cay?

I really need this info also.😊

I don’t have any advice, but can tell you my experience. Within the last 2 weeks, my husband and I both had our Disney Platinum matched with Diamond. HOWEVER, in the next couple weeks Disney will be adding the new Pearl tier to be above Platinum. I’m not sure how that will impact what MSC will match the Platinum to, if we assume Pearl will be matched to Diamond. I wish I could be of more help, but as of last week, Platinum did match with Diamond. I have never sailed NCL, so cannot give opinion on that.

"Lucky" is hard to define, and was a component.

But, I did reapply (as if I was doing it for the first time) with a different home and email address, and they replied back and anointed me Diamond. Not sure if that's what made the magic happen. I thought I'd then have to get in touch with them to merge or delete one profile, but they used the same number and switched it to Diamond.

So Royal Diamond+ definitely matches to Diamond in Voyagers?

Strange. We did a print screen of it the same way both me and my husband, several months apart and were both matched within 24 hours.

I sent the same thing via email, and was matched within the hour!  Yay!  Thanks!!

I went into my CC account and printed my status and number and sent it to Msc. I did this before Pearl.

Thank you.  That's what I tried, but they said it was unclear. Found another place that lists it, so sending that one in this morning.  Might have to look through drawers for a Key to the World Card next.

  8. I noticed that all the drinks listed on the Wonder Mason Jar are $14.  Does anyone know how much the drink package covers on the Wonder?  I think the amount changes per Ship. I realize we will pay the difference plus tip, but was wondering what the dollar limit was per drink on the Wonder.

If you have a cruise on X and a gap day followed by a cruise on Royal the answer is simple - no.

What I would ask is why is using a proctored test stressful any more than a test in person?  No more likelihood of a positive test either way.

Is the stress the cost?  Would suggest if a $10 test and $17 proctoring fee are causing stress; that is definitely a problem.

Nobody knows what the rules will be tomorrow.  We carry tests.  Are travelling internationally since April and will follow whatever rule is in place when we cross a border.

For me, the stress is not in the price or in the proctoring, but in testing positive period. Been there, done that.  Being in a foreign country just adds to the “excitement”. 😏

Their policy used to say yes they will provide the test which I guess technically they did with @Wineaux007 as they gave them the test kit for free.

We were on Reflection in March disembarked on Saturday and joined Constellation on Monday (different port) and they tested us no problem onboard Reflection on day of disembarkation.

As testing requirements change it will probably get even more complicated.    If I were in your shoes and doing this in the next couple of weeks I would have video proctored tests with me and take them within the required 3 days of the Royal sailing to be safe.

I think getting definitive answers in writing that would be upheld by both Celebrity and Royal with the changes going on would be next to impossible.

Lol. I agree. I’ve asked Celebrity and have yet to receive an answer.
I’m not sure what would happen if I test positive… I guess if it’s on a day at sea, X will quarantine me for some period on the ship. What if I am able to find a testing place in our last port and that is positive? Would they let me back on the ship to quarantine?

We got off a Celebrity sailing in Vancouver and then got on a Royal sailing to Alaska the same day.  We asked Celebrity to do a test and they refused.  They did give us a free test (emed) to take with us when we disembarked.  We ended up doing the emed test the last day of the Celebrity sailing on board using their internet, and it worked out.  I would recommending doing the emed test while still on Celebrity before you fly back.  It should meet the 2-day requirement.

Thank you. I wasn’t sure if the internet signal would be strong enough., but it’s good to hear it works.  A

  12. Does anyone know if Celebrity will covid test passengers on the ship if they are doing a side to side cruise with Royal?  We will be getting off Celebrity in Rome, and flying back to US arriving late. The next morning we cruise on Royal. The Royal cruise is over 5 days long, so it will require a covid test.
