  1. Royalton Blue Waters/White Sands has all of these things. I went in March 2018, booked through a third-party site, transportation from Falmouth port was included, it was only about 10 minutes away.
  2. I don't believe there is any cell coverage on GSC.
  3. I've been on Norwegian Dawn, Getaway and most recently the Escape last year when I was 48. I also work at a university so I go during spring break. None have a race track like the three newest ships. The Dawn is most similar to the ships you have been on before, but I had a great time on all three cruises. On the Escape I did not do the pool deck or slides, but I thoroughly enjoyed the spa and also spent some time in Spice H20 (adults only during the day) as well as the Waterfront on deck 8. It was actually the most relaxing of the three cruises I have been on even though it was the biggest ship. The cruise is what you make of it. If you want to stay away from crowds it is easy enough to do. You might look to get Vibe passes (might have a different name depending on the ship) to have an adults only more private/secluded location with guaranteed sundeck access.
  4. There is a fuctional app, called Tapatalk. The admins just have to add the correct plug-ins. The Tapatalk admins have told CC how to do this, they apparently are refusing to.
  5. Tapatalk Pro or VIP costs money but you can use the free version without paying anything, you just see ads. You may have inadvertently hit a button to subscribe to the ad-free version, they do ask about it quite a bit. You should email Tapatalk to unsubscribe as just deleting the app likely won't do that. Originally, the CC announced the CC app would no longer be available, nothing was mentioned of Tapatalk itself until today, I believe. I had no idea the CC app was actually a branded skin of Tapatalk as I never used it. I am posting this at lunch from my work computer, not using CC as much as I won't check it at home since the new site is not mobile-friendly (as they claim) and Tapatalk still isn't working. Mobile-friendly means a lot more than just resizing windows to fit on the mobile screen. They haven't done much more than that.
  6. Wrong. The original announcement said the CC app would go away but said nothing about Tapatalk. It's a simple plug-in so not activating it is just being hostile to the users of this site. And this site absolutely is not mobile -friendly.
  7. Exactly, I used to promote Cruise Critic on both Reddit and Facebook groups. If Tapatalk integration doesn't return I'll go to those sites only for my cruise discussion fix.
  8. i emailed Tapatalk support and they said they sent the CC forum admin a notification about the plug-in issue, and what needs to be done to correct it. They said we should report the same to the CC forum admin as requests from members often get looked into more quickly. I hope the forum admins realize how beneficial Tapatalk is. I use my computer at work and Tapatalk on the go. If you get rid of Tapatalk access I will not be spending more time on the "mobile version", I will just use CC less.
  9. They don't need to make their own app, the CC forums will work just fine with the Tapatalk app if the forum admins will install the updated plug-in. Tapatalk admins have emailed CC admins about how to do this. I truly hope CC admins listen to the myriad of members who at times need to access CC through an app. This site is not what i would call mobile-friendly regardless of what they say.

LauraS, can you confirm you are working on getting the Tapatalk plug-in reactivated?

  12. I have no idea what you are saying and I use Tapatalk all the time. I can't login to Cruise Critic on Tapatalk, however, it says Network error, please try again later. Admins, please, please, please get Cruise Critic working on Tapatalk again!!!!
  13. I can't login on Tapatalk. There is too much scrolling and extraneous stuff to use this forum in a mobile browser, so I'll access only when I am on the computer if I can't login to Tapatalk. That will be rare since I don't often use my home computer since I am on a computer all day at work.
  14. You can always call and pay to upgrade to the category you want. Otherwise, you got what you paid for.
